Almost all of them. The amount of the deal varies quite a bit, but they all sign with someone.

It would be Portlands luck to get the #1, taking Wiggins with it only to have the 7 foot Embiid be the dominant monster Bowie and Oden were supposed to be. And Wiggins turning into something pretty ordinary. Like Glenn 'Big Dawg' Robinson ordinary.

Why would Portland trade, the best PF in NBA history for a stupid draft pick?

Didn't mean to piss you off FAMS...... just thought common sense would have led you to understand he was here for shoe contract negotiations. You live here in town?

While Andrew Wiggins awaits word on which NBA team will seek his talents, the one-and-done Kansas phenom is reportedly in the Portland area Wednesday visiting Nike.

Wiggins tweeted Tuesday that he was "Portland bound!"

That was followed by a tweet from Yahoo! NBA writer Marc Spears, saying, "Don't get alarmed Blazers fans. ‪@22wiggins is meeting with Nike."

Wiggins was on the Nike World Headquarters campus near Beaverton Wednesday, said a source not authorized to speak on the matter.

Lauren Lamkin, a spokeswoman for Adidas, whose global basketball operations are managed at the company's North American headquarters in Portland, said Wednesday in an email, "We've already met with Andrew prior to this trip."

Greg Rossiter, a Nike spokesman, declined to respond to questions about Wiggins.

Portland is home, of sorts, for other shoe brands that would want a partnership with Wiggins. Under Armour, the Baltimore-based brand, keeps a design studio in Portland. And the sparsely populated North American office of Li Ning is based in Portland, including the designer who creates the sneakers for the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade.

While he is not viewed as a consensus number one NBA draft pick, Wiggins, the former University of Kansas freshman, has been sought as a prized endorsement prospect by Nike and Adidas, among other sneaker brands. For what it's worth, Kansas is an Adidas-affiliated school.

Wiggins announced in April he would enter the NBA draft. The 6-foot-8 forward, is expected to go in the top three picks in the June draft, and perhaps first over all to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kansas center Joel Embiid, who worked out for the Cavaliers on Tuesday, and Duke's Jabari Parker have also been mentioned as potential first picks.

The Philadelphia 76ers, however, may be willing to work a trade with the Cavaliers to ensure the Sixers get Wiggins with the number one pick, the Philadelphia Enquirer reported Wednesday.

In April, The Toronto Star explored how much Wiggins, of Canada, could make in salary and a sneaker endorsement:

Experts say that his earning power depends who drafts him.
"If I'm a brand I want to know where he's going to play. That would have an impact on how much his value would be to me," says Matt Powell, an analyst at the sports retail analytics firm Sports One Source. "It's taken (Oklahoma City Thunder star) Kevin Durant six years to get to a place where he was selling a lot of shoes. Part of the reason is that he was playing in a small market." Nike features a line of Durant-branded athletic shoes.
Sports marketing professionals point out that Wiggins' profile suffered when his college team, the Kansas Jayhawks, suffered a second-round loss in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Reaching this weekend's Final Four championships, with its large television audience, would have showcased Wiggins to both hardcore and casual sports fans.

Trade our best player for a Super Unknown (wink wink nudge nudge) in hopes he becomes half the player our other one was. Or we just pay the first
one what he wants and circumvent this.
