Fair enough, I’m not sure who is really in this draft outside of Flagg and Bailey to be honest. I’ll scout some videos on the top 5-6 talents in this draft.

But regardless what we do with our roster, trade xyz or keep the current roster, we most likely will be getting a high draft pick regardless, because well we suck unless Scoot and Sharpe make huge leaps.

    The '25 draft is loaded.

Picks 1-5 would have ALL gone #1 last month. (Flagg, Bailey, Harper, Traore, & Edgecombe)

I'm guessing that all 5 would have gone #2 behind Wemby a year ago.

Yeah - there's no guarantee of success in the draft... or in life. You just have to play the probabilities and take your best shots of getting where you want to go.

Who needs a C? Simons to Detroit for ivey and Stewart and some pick compensation. Stewart to C needy team for other assets?

It's funny you single me out because I'm actually defending Ant for many years here and I'm fine keeping him on the roster if we can't get value for him.

Sure worked for the Spurs tanking and getting Wemby. It's called math.

Even if we tank for Flagg odds are we won't get him. But odds are much better we might, and the other top picks are great as well.

It's a 30 team league so whatever strategy the Blazers do is unlikely to get a title. I'd prefer the path that is most likely to get us a contending roster eventually. If you prefer middling playoff roster with no chance to contend that's your preference. Neither direction is inherently right or wrong.

There was interest before hiring Langdon (June 1st), don't know how substantial their interest is now but he makes sense for the timeline and roster construction.

3rd, 4th or 5th pick next draft likely gets us a player with a higher ceiling than anybody on our roster (barring Sharpe going alpha MJ).
