Blazers have agreed to a two year deal with Steve Blake. Pickup Jarret Jack in the draft, sign Juan Dixon and now also sign Blake? To tell the truth, they probably needed another guard after losing a few this offseason, but it doesn't seem like a strong vote of confidence in Telfair for them to draft a PG in the 1st round (although not their first pick) and then go and sign another. Maybe they are just using Blake to bridge the gap until Jack is ready to be a solid backup, so it probably doesn't matter. I guess Washington has 7 days to match, so this might not even be an issue, but just thought it was interesting - wonder how much Nate influenced this decision?

Let the mods do their job - this is fine here, we like to keep up to date with what Nate is doing in here too.

As for Blake, strange career move from him. Telfair should get the start, you already have Jack as well who is NBA ready, but why do Portland want a third inexperienced point guard? No Hughes almost means Washington may have been a better situation for him, as they'll certainly do better than Portland (who IMO don't have that great a roster for now or the next five seasons).
