He'll accept it if he continues getting the high stats he's getting, which will continue as long as he gets the minutes he's getting.

That was 2 years ago when he said that. As he got stronger and the league's discrepancy of true centers; he may re-think that statement.

didnt he say doesnt care where he plays just dont call him a center.
I think that was in reference to all the bad luck our centers had.

I have no doubt LaMarcus will play where the coach tells him he's needed. If Hickson could shoot and guard outside the paint, LaMarcus would be our center. We simply don't have a third big man to put at one of those positions.

Wait: isn't this a Lillard thread?

Why do you expect NBA starting PFs to be good shooters? Sheed and Aldridge aren't the norm. Getting into shooting position all game long distracts a PF from his real job.

Blazers should retire the word Center and just call the position the mega forward. Backcourt is point and shooting guards, the frontcourt is small, power and mega forwards.

    PG
    SG
    SF
    PF
    MF

    Rep this idea, it's brilliant!

You are right. He is better. Rubio wasn't even the rookie of the year.

Could have, would have, should have... And that is not even close to a slam dunk. The guy who won was more impressive even when Rubio was playing.

I don't expect NBA power forwards to be shooters. I expect Hickson to be a power forward, not a center. Maybe you should ask the coach that question.

Say what?! Um show me the rookie year comparison. Rubio wasn't giving them a winning record his rookie year.
