Just lip service until they offer a reasonable alternative.

Jody Allen is VERY concerned that Blazer fans will miss the upcoming Blazers season. That's why Portland just sent out this statement, advising Blazer fans to click on RootSports.com, and spend an extra ~40 bucks a month.

There's no collusion between the Vulcans and Root.
    2 completely separate companies.

Where's this evidence of jacking fans?

    >The Blazers season starts in 2 weeks, and Comcast just ratcheted up the price to watch Portland big time. Now the Portland owners just asked fans to do it, to help the Blazers out and buy upgraded Comcast.

a very very messed up situation. It's really too bad. Portland is starting a new era of exciting ball, and many fans in Oregon/Washington will be unable/uninterested to watch Blazer basketball.

Most are able. They just need to stop feeling bad about doing it. Get an ad blocker and fly after it. I highly recommend Firefox as your browser.

Meh. The WWF/ Big Market aspect of the NBA has been souring me on the league the past few decades, but Lillard's tantrum, along with his attempt to kneecap the franchise has me completely (and finally) on the ropes. Time to go "old school" and listen on the radio on the days I actually give a shit. But then, they'll find a way into our pockets for the radio broadcast eventually.......we're just the dumb rubes who go along....and along.....and along.......

You don't have to go along. Technology is a wonderful thing.

Just so glad I'm out of the market again. LP for the whole season for every team is just $99. And it includes games on NBA tv.

We have one ESPN game this year, the Dame return. Will just need to find a way to get ESPN access that day and I'll be good.

It's a damn shame that the setup makes it MORE difficult to catch broadcasts if you're in the market. Such a shortsighted way of going about this. Had KGW not shown 20 games a yr, I would not have been the rabid fan I am now. Idiots running the show.

Only solution that I could see happen is the Blazers throw crapcast err I mean Comcast sorry my bad -- LOL -- back to my thought. Maybe they agree to give comcast some money NOT to do this but I doubt that would happen so if your a Blazer fan and have Comcast your prolly screwed.

It’s just greed. Pure greed. The entire ownership and front office. They don’t give a rats ass about the fans.

I canned their a** about a year ago. This just makes me even more glad to have done away with them. I would not be paying that extra, I’d actually just cancel my service anyways.

I definitely expect this to blow up in their faces. You go wanting more money and sometimes make a horrible business decision which ends up costing your company more than you gain.

Comcast is trying to alienate its customers once again. I switched over to Fubo a couple months back and love it. Has all my sports watching needs for a fraction of the price.

The Brave browser immediately improved my quality of life when I switch out of Firefox and into Brave. Food for thought.

No kidding? Firefox has generally been better for me, and its more privacy focused. But Brave is very good. Still chromium based, so I don't trust it as much. But its certainly one of the best.
