They now have the #1 and #4 picks in this draft and two future firsts. They also have a solid core going for them as well with JRue, Randle, and now Ingram.

They are expected to pick Zion at #1. Who do you think they will target at #4?

Yeah, but the future picks won't be high. I think they took a shit deal.

New Orleans got fucked big time. Lakers steal a top 5 player for a bunch of role players and mediocre picks

Nothing we could've offered would've matched that, so we can't be mad. Now we just hope that LeBron's rapid ageing continues apace.

Ok the #4 pick might be ok.
The two future 1sts will be like picks in the 20’s probably.
Lonzo is bad and injured all the time.
Ingram has a condition and who knows about his future.

This goes way beyond the Blazers to me, seems like a lot of GM’s just decided the flight risk wasnt worth it. A lot of GM’s not willing to take a risk, because probably 10-15 gm’s couldve put together a much better package.

Agree. The two future firsts won't have as much value. I was looking at it with their young solid core and the #4 pick to go along with Zion.

I can’t believe this. How does the NBA allow this?

We shall see. The last team to have AD just got the #1 pick.

Kemba/Lebron/AD is a title contender next year if they get the right role players around em

Big fucking deal. Kuzma is a sieve on D and an inefficient scorer. Glad he's there to take shots from better players.

The big upside for NO was that they took dumped salary too and gained little. If they can keep spending under control and draft well . . . except they are probably a lot like Portland when it comes to FAs. Zion even sounded like he wanted a bigger spotlight. I wonder if Holiday is available on the cheap.

This is full Philly strategy, no? [I know, never go full Philly.]

And stay injury-free - no guarantee with James and Davis.

They didn't even dump Solomon Hill. That would've prevented the Lakers from being able to offer a max.

    I wouldn't be surprised.
(Don't forget that the Sixers started "the process" by trading Holiday... to New Orleans.)

Cracks me up Woj acting like NO didnt just get completely ripped off. They would have likely been better hanging on to AD and letting him play out his contract and having Cap space next year.

Ingram and ball are awful fits with Zion and Jrue. This seems more quantity than quality. “Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity”
