Johnson, 33, finishes with a career record of 22-6. Early in his career Johnson cut a tremendous amount of weight in an attempt to compete as a welterweight, missing the mark twice, then moved up to middleweight, missing weight twice more. Johnson finally found a weight class that worked for him at LHW, racking up seven wins in nine fights, all but one via knockout. Johnson's career was marred by repeated accusations of domestic violence.
I think its awesome. His heart wasn't in that fight. Personally I think he threw it, fought right into DC's strengths. Isn't he having twins? I bet he wants his brain and his body.
Johnson's coaches were so frustrated with him not following the gameplan or their instructions that they left after the fight despite knowing that AJ was going to retire. Though Henri Hooft was better than that.
