Mehmet Okur while he's a good scorer, is not an inside player. He's a perimeter PF/C, so I don't know if he's a guy that will really help in that aspect. He can put the ball in the basket, but his game is very perimeter oriented.

He does like to float around the perimeter, but if needed, he can definitely take his defender down low and score. The duo of Arenas-Okur running the pick and roll would be hard to stop.
He has a post game, not a great one, though good, but he likes to drift to the perimeter a lot, and doesn't really play in the post as much as he should. He didn't draw Dirk comparisons for no reason, though he's a lot better in the post than Dirk, but not as good outside and at putting the ball on the floor.
He's not great in the post, but effective enough to force his defender to pay attention to him in there and draw double teams if he gets things going on offense. Okur has good hands and can score with the right or the left in the paint. I think his skillset along with his size is more ideal than Antawn Jamison. Looking around the league, Okur is one of the few players who is available right now that is capable of filling the void inside the paint.
I agree with Shape on this one. Okur is more of a post presence than Antawn Jamison will ever be, and he is available. I'm sure we can pry some more pieces away from Utah than just Okur to even out the trade. I'd do the trade. Washington doesn't need two main scorers on the team. We need complimentary players to go alongside Gilbert Arenas who can score. Gilbert, Caron, and Okur can all score. Throw in AD and Haywood...that is a solid lineup.
