I’d be a big fan of it, thinking about how Dame could get the best out of Boogie has me salivating

Imagine us in the playoffs next year with Nurkic/Boogie/Collins depth at the big man spot, we’d have an option for every situation possible. With CJ and Dame bombing from everywhere ontop of that I’d really like our chances if KD leaves GSW.

Honestly of the teams with big cap space I don’t think any of them would be particularly interested in Cousins, except the Lakers. But I think they’d probably gamble on being able to get someone better than him with their cap space and it would backfire on them

Maybe Boogie accepts an MLE for one year?

Yep. Way too many people label players from a few things they think or get from first impressions.
First impressions are usually lasting impressions.

DMC isnt so much a jerk as much as he’s kind of a modern day Rasheed Wallace, he gets caught up in those feelings quite a bit.

IMO you cannot compare Cousins to Sheed. Wallace was a pathetic excuse for a basketball player.

If Sheed was 28-32 now he would be the perfect PF for this team. I would take that player in a heartbeat. Younger Sheed was immature, but the veteran would be a great fit.

Not a chance with me. He acted like a petulant child the entire time he was here. If he didn't want to play that game he would just throw a fit and get thrown out. If he didn't like what someone had to say he would throw a towel in their face. When anyone decided to ask him why it was "Cut the Check". He was the epitome of what was and is wrong with today's NBA. He showed no respect to Portland or their fan base. He absolutely showed no respect for the game. Weak ass jump shooter that would cry if anyone brushed up against him in a game and couldn't hold his own on defense. Sorry. Not a fan of Rasheed Wallace at all. Cost this team a Chip because he was a cry baby.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If you think he'll be open to an MLE (because teams with cap space won't be interested), why would he pick Portland, where he'd have to share the center position with Nurkic, over staying in Golden State, where he'll be the clear cut center with no one to really take time away from him, plus he'd have a better chance to win the title and he seems comfortable in that environment?

I think he'll get a fairly big contract from someone, though not necessarily a max deal. Way more than an MLE, though.

Rasheed Wallace, ironically criticized constantly by Portland fans for shooting too many threes and not posting up enough, would be an absolutely perfect power forward by today's standards. A stretch 4 who would be fantastic in a switching defensive scheme. He'd also be pretty switch-proof, as he had the post-up chops to bully a smaller defender that might switch onto him.

Getting Wallace and Pippen from that period back today would be so great for playing switch-heavy defense.

Right about now I'd pay Kanter to backup Nurk and forget Boogies pricetag. Kanter is a good fit and doesn't mind coming off the bench

Given the price tag, I suspect the Blazers have to choose between Kanter, Hood and Curry - and of these, Hood is probably the most important - the Blazers will have to get by with Zach / Skal filling in for Nurk and Simons filling in for Curry, but they really have no-one that combines Hood's ball-handling, shooting and scoring in the 2nd unit.

I'm not sure I agree with that... He's been a good soldier this season for us, but I doubt he'd be content coming off the bench long term.

Agreed. I think there will be some passable C's on the market that can be had for the minimum.

Have respect for Sheed. He led us to two WCFs. He’s also an NBA Champion and both Billups and Brown immediately said he was the reason they won. If you look at all the numbers, he should’ve been Finals MVP.
