How could anyone watch what Love did in Cleveland and still want him? He's a chucker. He puts up big numbers on shitty teams.

    No.

    I understand it's a thought exercise, but I don't like the premise. ;)

I'd rather do something else with the cap space than sign Love. Like sign Hibbert and another player and start Meyers.

    I'd be open to it.

The Chris Bosh role has been a disaster - he floats instead of posting up. That's not his game. I think some are forgetting just how good Love is on the block.

When ISO'd against LMA he was scoring at will when he was in Minny.

Personal feelings aside, an asset in terms of what it might eventually turn into is better than receiving no asset at all if LA leaves

No, if we are gonna trade him in a S&T, I rather it be to the Lakers or the Spurs. They can offer us the best return packages.

    Spurs could look something like:

Danny Green (on a new deal)
    Patty Mills
    2017+19 1sts

    Lakers:

    Julius Randle
    2015 Top 5 pick

I don't think a s&t is an option - he won't get the fifth year.

I like that Laker package though.

Neil isn't stupid, I'd be willing to bet that Love is plan B.

He has to have a backup plan in place.

Love would be a fantastic option if Aldridge left. It's pretty clear that Cleveland isn't using him the right way and I think he'd flourish in our system.

I'd take love if Aldridge was going to leave. Everyone bitching about him being a black hole, remember that z bo had the same things said about him most of his career. Love has had a down year, but he is a great player.

He just had an interview recently saying he would love to play for Portland someday too, so I think he would be happy here.

Yes but Zbo finally played well when they got such a defensive stud in Marc Gasol. We don't have the player that can make up for all the defensive woes Love will give us

I'm just saying, people can get better. Zbos improvements on d aren't solely because of gasol. Add in the fact that love said he would love to play for us and he is a fringe all star type player, you'd happily take him if Aldridge forced our hand.

At the end of the day, I don't see Aldridge leaving though

Just think of a lineup with Dame, CJ, Nic, Meyers, & Love all spaced around the 3-point line bombing away. That would be something to behold. ;)

Remember when we traded our star Power Forward for another Power Forward that looked almost as good?

We ended up with fucking Shareef Abdur Rahim.

    Just say no.

Zach is a decent man defender because his big body is tough to move. What made him terrible was his inability to help defend.

You mean the same SAR that put up 17 Ppg, 7 rpg on 50% fg 39% 3pt and 87% ft in his line full season for us?

Some of you would be yanking your baseball bats to those percentages.

I'd rather have Mirotic before I went for Love. I also mentioned Blake Griffin earlier, but the talent level is probably too close for them to agree to a sign and trade.
