We're all on the same page when the minimum is more than the cap hit.

So, just to get a little more clarity,
The Blazers could trade Hart, Winslow, Johnson and Louzada for John Collins.
They would then have 12 players on their roster.
They could then sign, for example, Brandon Williams and Kyle Alexander to minimum contacts for 1 year players and still be under the hard cap.
This would bring them to 14 players on their roster.
They could then sign 2 two-way players, say Garza and Ross and these signings would not count against the cap.
They would then have 16 total players.
Just want to see if this can be done.

As for Atlanta wanting to move Collins and do this move, they have a reportedly disgruntled player in Collins, they need to re-sign their starting SF Hunter, and they need to clear a space for Okongwu, who it sounds like they are pretty high on to be their starting PF. Sure, they may have better offers, but I do think Collins will be moved before the season starts.

The idea of trading Hart and Winslow to me is losing 2 of our best defensive players. I'm not a fan of trading either guy....I'd trade Nas before I trade Hart or Winslow. Waive Didi and sign a 2 way contract 3rd string center and we're good to go.

You don't have to loathe it, I appreciate when people take the time to research stuff on their own, even if it means I was wrong!

I might not be sober so I’ll look at this post again later, but I swear I just read you saying you’d trade Nas over Winslow.

I've been sober for 6-7 years now....and no I said I would trade Nas before Hart and Winslow....not Nas before Winslow although I think Nas could have Elliot Williams syndrome...hope he doesn't. Winslow next to Nurk was a lot better than Nas next to Nurk in a short sample size....maybe Nas makes the leap after his surgery...maybe not ..we'll see. I value Hart and Winslow going into this season. As to Hart...he scored 44 pts for us last season...Nas hasn't sniffed that as a Blazer. Nothing wrong with Nas but he's not been able to stay on the court.
As it is...I'm good with all 3 guys as Blazers next season. I'd dump Didi Louzada and pick up Ed Davis or Baynes as a backup center.
