Playstation Network has been down since Thursday and wont be back online until Tuesday at the earliest. Rumors say it was the group 'Anonymous' that took down Sony.
Oh yeah I was wondering about that....was seeing I was having issues signing in but I was playing career mode anyways.
I'm not usually into golf games, but I'm one of the biggest Augusta stalkers I know. Is it worth dropping the $60 to play it?
Well I havent bought a TW game for several years and I really enjoy it. The swing stick is super touchy even on putts which I like. My favorite mode is "no aides" when playing against a friend....its no swing boost, no "focus"(shinking your landing area), no spin control. You can make the settings even tougher but my golfer isnt good enough IMO to make those settings fun yet
it's 60 bucks here at the local Target...do you guys pay that, or are there (Legal! ) stores or sites that have discounts or coupons or sales or something?
In regards to the Masters course.....it made me giddy....they nailed it IMO. They dont allow you to play it in easy mode which is cool IMO. The greens are fucking accurate. Ive watched the real Masters plenty and this game came out during this years so all the green layouts and how they roll was freash in my mind.....They gotem......false fronts....ball rolling down the side hill on 16....and they are slick as hell. The par 3 on Amen corner has swirling wind even Maybe Im easy to please, I dunno, but it lived up to my expectations
Damn, you should be on Madison Avenue. I'm about to go twitter Ricky Fowler (does that make me a TSA agent?) to get a coupon. Do the pins move around? Or are they always set up in "Sunday" mode or something? I'd love to be able to see the difference between the 9th green when the pin's in the middle vs. the back, or to see how small the landing area on the bottom right of 16 is.
pins move around for sure...... on all other courses you move the pin by difficulty level (easy, med, hard) and game decides where to put it based on your setting. BUT AT THE MASTERS Pin positions are called "Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday" and reflect that oh yeah....
yeah its can be cool once you get past a little learning curve. Its not like you have to have super fast video game reflexes....take your time line your shit up....account for all the conditions as in real golf (you cant hit as far out of rough, wind, etc). It has 4 or 5 difficulty settings....the hardest is crazy hard now, you rely on caddie advice.....the easiest you will be shooting 18 under par. you can also upload a photo of yourself into the game and have your golfer actually be you. It actually worked amazingly well. Creepy well!!! The game consists of 1. Accounting for conditions 2. Having a STRAIGHT and in time back to front on the analog stick 3. Tapping the crap out of "X" to put power boost or spin on the ball if in easy/med mode
