lol maybe we should, I just can't consider a guy a steal when I'd still rather have the guy that went after him over him, maybe it's just me though [actually I know it's not but still]. I think that Iggy is a better player at the moment, but Arujo is a much better fit. If we had drafted Iggy, we would have had too many ppl at SG/SF wanting minutes. Vince automatically would have taken the majority of minutes at one spot. Then with Jalen, Mo Pete, Murray and Iggy all sharing the other spot. And we would have to rely on Woods every game.
I JUST HAVE 1 THING TO SAY AND ITS WAT MOST PPL WERE SAYING B4 WE COULD HAVE WOULD HAVE SHOULD HAVE DRAFTED Andre Iguodala

No, he didn't, but he was in charge on their drafting after the Joe Smith thing where they only had 2nd round picks, and the best of all those second rounders was Loren Woods. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I think that Iggy is a better player at the moment, but Arujo is a much better fit. Also even if we decided to still re-sign MoPete, why does Lammond Murray have to play Carter [34] | Iggy [14] Rose [28] | MoPete [20] To be serious with how Iggy plays and his defensive abilities, Jalen's minutes would start to decrease even more, and Sam would be playing Iggy and MoPete if he was still there a lot. We'd also still have a lot of trade bait to acquire a guy that can give us Araujo type production, I mean we did still have to play Woods for the first 26 games or so anyways. By that time we would've done something to change our inside situation right? It's not big deal, what happened has happened, s'all good....
Hoffa Article Thought I would bring this thread back for the big guy...... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Raptors general manager Rob Babcock called a brief team meeting at the airport on Tuesday, after the club had landed back in Toronto. Presumably, the meeting had to do with continuing to play hard and not doing anything to embarrass the franchise in the final few weeks of this NBA season. Well, no matter what was said, or even if they only exchanged recipes, the Raptors last night managed not only to avoid embarrassing themselves, but they embarrassed the visiting Orlando Magic 106-96. The Raptors got great contributions from no fewer than seven players: Chris Bosh, Morris Peterson, Jalen Rose, Rafer Alston, Matt Bonner, Donyell Marshall and Rafael Araujo. We'll repeat that last name, just so you don't think we spent the evening drinking: Rafael Araujo. </div> Source
If this guy will stop freakin' commiting stupid fouls then I can see that he's actually a decent player.
He hasn't really done much since this thread was made, he fouled a few people, and this is his first good game in who knows how long, but at least he's alive.
Yea I don't think anyone should expect wonders any time soon. But we should give him like 25 minutes per game because we aren't gonna make playoffs. Maybe he could average 6 rebounds per game for the rest of the season.
I don't c why everyone is complaining about hoffa, he's a rook, and big men take a while to develope (yes I kno he is already pretty old, but again he's still a rook), he needs to learn how to better control his body, and so many other things. Give him time guys.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting R_ChutneY:</div><div class="quote_post">Biedrins is more of a Bosh-type power forward anyway, so I was alright with them not picking him. He wouldn't be helping out much in the long run, because we'd have Bosh. Watching him play in the Orlando game, I see that he has bad hands, like Moiso, and problems running the floor. However, he's got the big body, and if he learns how to use it properly he could be good.</div> Actually Biedrinsch actually has good hands. Doesn't drop much passes and he can run the floor extremly well for his size. In fact aspects of his game were compared to Bosh like the same length and athleticism and that's probably why the Raps passed up on him. You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it, but the kid can leap and run the floor quickly. *** Also I kind of thought Araujo went a little too high in the draft and the management was trying to go with the safe pick and play for need so Bosh wouldn't have to play center.

give him time....he's still not comfortable out there yet...u can tell by how he rushes the ball everytime he touches it....we really need to give big minutes to hoffa and sow for the remaining games to see what we have in store for next season.....
