People who murder women ARE animals. Fuck them. You KNOW thats what he was referring to yet still feign fake outrage and pretend it was some characterization of immigrants as a whole. And while referencing Newsmax of all places LOL.

While I think it's likely that that is in fact what he was referring to, it's tough to deny that by using the words "illegal alien animal" in that order, it's going to cause those who are already upset about illegal immigration to interpret it exactly as Trump's opponents have done. In fact, it's hard for me to believe that someone who purports to be a quality communicator would be unaware of the obvious implications of that phrasing. In my mind, either Trump knew exactly how his base would respond to that comment--ie, he used a clear racist dog-whistle--or he made a ridiculous gaffe, and then blissfully ignorantly doubled/tripled down on it. Neither option is a good look for him.

“Hatred”? I never said I hated these people. Did I? I said they wouldn’t be allowed in my family’s life. Isnt’ that what I said?

I’ll make this easy for you my little redneck hillbilly….. In my eyes…..
-Vote for someone, you agree with and support them and their message.
-You voted for Trump…..you feel the same way he does.
-You will not be a part of me or my family’s life.

THAT’S ALL I SAID. And I stick by it. Never said I “hated” anybody….. said I don’t need you in our lives. That’s it. Pretty simple.

And like you so eloquently put it….what did you call me, A “YUPPY SNOB”. Good lord above….. I don’t even know what that is, but I’m quite sure I don’t fall into that criteria. But like I said earlier as well, if I believe Trump spews HATE and you think he spreads LOVE…..why would you want me and my family to be a part of your life. Why would you right?

He said "illegal alien animal"... He didn't say "murdering animal" or "woman killing animal", or "psycho animal".

He reportedly called "illegal aliens" "animals".

If we got stuck on an island together we might have to combine our unique traits to survive. It could be fun. Never know.

I think it is fair to hold voters responsible for the people they elect. Shitty people get elected because voters don't take their civic duty seriously.

Texans may have some great qualities, but they vote for shitty people, and they deserve to be shamed for that.

Voters are too uneducated, miseducated, and overworked to take their civic duty seriously.

That's by design, as far as I can tell.

Sadly it's typically a minority of people that go out and perform their civic duties in voting, just look at 2020 where about 2/3's of registered voters went out and that was the highest percentage since 1900. I don't agree with a good number of the things that get passed in Texas on ballots, just like I don't agree with a lot of the things that get passed in say Oregon. The system that has been set up and more importantly skewed over the last 200+ years has left a lot of very good people disenfranchised with the whole notion of elections. It sucks, wish it wasn't that way and that people would exercise their right to vote, but it doesn't happen for a number of reasons.

I'm just amazed I got a genuine response from Barfo and not the typical quip!

    Agree with your post generally.

But just wanted to comment that people's civic duties extend FAR beyond just voting. People should be KNOWLEDGEABLE.voters. I would argue that far too many vote 'blindly' either for a recognizable name or due to party affiliation.... without understanding their position.

It makes it far too easy for politicians to flip/flop on every issue depending upon what group of people they are talking to.

I'm like a mystery box at a flea market. You never know what you might get, but you know it won't be worth a penny more than you paid for it.
