<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas went on an $18,000 shopping spree yesterday to support evacuees of Hurricane Katrina.

Arenas bought essentials such as clothes, diapers, soap and shampoo at a local store and delivered the goods to the D.C. Armory, where some 400 displaced people are expected to arrive by bus from New Orleans within a few days.

"We've got to realize that these people lost everything they had," he said. "For some people, they didn't have food or water for days. I'm just trying to do my part and help out as much as I can. While everyone's watching on TV, they need to be helping at the same time."</div>

Arenas has always had a heart of gold. This is no surprise. He is one of the most charitable guys in the NBA and mature beyond his age.

Good job Gilly. Keep it up [IMG]

^ Definitely Arenas seems like a real nice person. Its very nice to see Arenas giving out to the people and helping them throughout such hard times.
