<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Washington Post - Gilbert Arenas' experience with Team U.S.A. has left him with a bitter taste in his mouth, particularly about assistant coaches Nate McMillan and Mike D'Antoni. "I'm going to be the silent assassin this year," he said. "I can't wait to play the Suns and Portland. Against Portland, Nate McMillan, I'm going to try to score 100 in two games and against D'Antoni, I'm going to score 100 in two games. I'm going to try."</div> Link I'll cut off my right finger, if he does it.
personally i think he should just respect their coaching style. i know they didnt treat him great and everything, but hes got to take some responsibility for that. there had to be some reason why they didnt treat him fairly, and i dont think they just wanted to pick on him. although, i do love the competition that hes going to try to bring against them, but he should have that mentality for every game.
Silent Assassin. He already has an Assassin nickname, the East Coast Assassin, also he has Gilly, and The President.
I'll say he drops sixty something on one of those teams, and almost 50 on the other. He shouldn't have made some of those comments public, but good luck to him.
I think the reporters chased him on this one, it's summer, there's nothing to report, and you know there's the guy who's known to speak his mind and got cut from the team. The reason I say this is that Arenas was in Barry Farms playing basketball, so why would he just randomly call up reporters. All the guys did was ask the right questions to get a nice story. I think what irked Arenas is that he was trying to do what he thought the coaches wanted, yet it wasn't good enough for them. He played better defense than Paul, but not as good as Kirk. I don't think he truly understood his offensive role, but he tried to do what he thought they wanted. I think he's still a little jealous at the fact that LBJ, Carmelo, and Wade were all allowed to play their game, and basically had the team built around them while he was reduced to a role player. I doubt Arenas feels he's any less of a scorer than any of them, and he is the best shooter of the bunch.
This is why I love Arenas. Everytime something pisses him off, he's going to attempt to kick your ass on the court. I know that if I was put in the same position, I'd try to do the same thing, except maybe I wouldn't go public about it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DIRK4L1FE:</div><div class="quote_post">Hm. Looks like I'll be tuning into the Wizards against the Suns and Portland.</div> lol yea, for some reason though I can imagine Arenas getting the points and still losing.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Arenas seems to have done some nice advertising for those games with his comments lol.</div> Yeah, it should help with networks like ESPN focusing those games as key and seeing what Arenas does. I might go ahead and get tickets for those games.
I found out why he's so pissed. He missed the birth of his daughter while he was trying out for the team.

It was in an article on the internet from a newspaper. I also read that his girl is pregnant and expecting in Spring.
