Is 30 PPG so easy to do? (While dishing out 6 assists in THE PRINCETON OFFENSE)HE WAS INJURED! SO WAS BUTLER! That's like asking the Cavaliers to play without LeBron and like Gooden or something. And then the Nets to play without Kidd and VC. And then the Pistons to play without Bilups and Hamilton. And then the Spurs to play without Duncan and Parker. Man, the Wizards were just lucky they had Jamison to score 32 PPG and AD to rack up 12 APG.
fact of the matter is, you guys still lost in the 1st round, and that's all the stat book will ever show, and that's all anyone will ever remember, that you guys were swept in the first round.dude, im sorry, but other then O'Neal, i would strongly pick all those players I listed before Arenas. He is good yes, but if Washington had any one of those guys instead of Arenas, you'd be even better. Stop being such a homer and face facts.Kobe Bryant - please, you think you're better with Arenas then you would be with Bryant, IMO, the best player in basketballLebron James - are you kidding? the King, and he actually brought his team to the FinalsCarmelo Anthony - once again, this guy just blows away ArenasDwyane Wade - this guy also brought his team to the finals, won it, and played through an injury this season to help his team reach the playoffs.Dwight Howard - I love this guy, and I think he will easily be a Hall Of Famer one day. He also brought his team to the playoffs, and he had less to work with the Arenas had.Kevin Garnett - Any other team, playoffs. Easily. One of the best players in the game.Baron Davis(only when healthy) - when healthy, as you saw at the end of the season and in the playoffs, this guy is freakin amazingSteve Nash - 2 years in a row MVP, coulda made an argument for this past year. when was the last time Gilbert won an MVP?Amare Stoudamire - yeah, ok, he has the MVP on his team, but you know this guy is still way more dominant then Arenas. You take Nash off the Suns, Amare still can carry the team to the playoffs easily. You take Caron Butler off the Wizards, or even Antawn Jamison, Wizards may not even make the playoffs.
I don't think Dwight Howard makes the HOF unless his PPG goes up and improves his BPG to around 2.25-2.5. He's too much a sole rebounder. But if he won some championships, he could have lower stats and make it...And I don't think KG would make the playoffs on any other team. I think if the Hawks traded for him, it would be perfect for both teams. Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams/Josh Childress/Josh Smith, and Shelden Williams for KG imo would be great for both.I don't think Amare can carry a team yet either. He's good but not the dominating good post player. Statistically he's been good but look who's around him and who his PG is. Marion, Nash, Diaw is too good of a supporting cast for me to say he would make a team like the Hawks or Sonics better.I would have Tim Duncan, Yao, Tracy McGrady, Chris Bosh on that list too. I would take Arenas over Stoudemire and Baron Davis. But I would take Chris Paul over Arenas.
How am I being a homer? I'm not saying Marbury is the best PG or that Curry is the best C (though he is one of the best scorers). You face the facts. Agent Zero, other than Agent Bryant probably, is the best scorer in the NBA without a doubt.
Carmelo Anthony has his number too if you are JUST talking about scoring.Yeah, there are others I left off that list. I can't believe I forgotTim Duncan - has made the Spurs into a dynastyTracy McGrady- he may not have won int eh playoffs yet, but he is still better then Agent ZeroChris Bosh- maybe, close call on this oneShaq - maybeYao - maybein the end, Gilbert should not be making $20mill, and that's where this argument started.
