What is he specifically apologizing for? As stated, he's sorry for getting caught. He need to come clean, what he was taking and when. How he his it before being caught (both times). How the apology tour of 2009 was a sham, etc. Plus all the items other here have noted....tarnishing the Yankee brand, dishonoring the legacy of the game, etc. It doesn't matter if it will be accepted, that's not the point. People need to see him feel the consequences of his actions.
I think its a given at this point that 2001-2003 (Texas Rangers) was really not the only years he cheated. And that's why IMO the bonus checks should not be allowed. Because without the PEDs he'd be no where near the milestones he's currently at.
