I was wondering about their character as well. We won't ever sign people like that.

You make a different move to get under then. Idk.. Not acquiring a great player on a bargain contract because your worried about the tax makes for a loser framchise.

We don't go near those players anymore. If you just want talent regardless of character, you would've enjoyed our team back when you were a toddler. I know I did.

Somebody wrongfully accused on drug changes isn't really a risk. James Johnson had a bad error in judgement and I don't hear people ever say he's a bad person, and he's not a repeat offender.

That doesn't compare to the Jail Blazers era. Those guys were bad people who consistently made bad mistakes.

They weren't bad people. Hardly any of them were ever in jail or convicted of a crime. We're not going there anymore th0ugh. A lot of stupid mistakes and guilt by association.

I can't agree with you about James Johnson, Bones. While he has stayed out of trouble since these days I'd stay away from players who have committed domestic violence.

OT: Fuck Reuben Foster! Why do athletes that have the chance of a lifetime throw it all away and do stupid shit? The 49ers need to cut his ass a year after wasting a 1st round pick on him. (Okay mini rant over)

As for Scott, I understand the situation seemed messed up but you don't know if they did look into his background or not. So you can't say they whether they did or didn't do research on him. For all we know they looked into both players and deemed them guys they don't want on this team.

Not signing a vet to a minimum contract doesn't make this a loser franchise. That is a big stretch. Signing a vet either of the last two years would have ruined a lot of flexibility with having an open roster spot and trying to get under the tax. I'm sure if the right vet came along they would sign them. Being financially responsible for two years knowing that you are about to pay a shit ton of tax starting next year is tough for fans to take but that doesn't mean it wasn't the right decision. Lets see if they make moves this summer that are different than the recent cost cutting moves.

It's not like Olshey would-be signed them if they didn't get into trouble and that's my whole point.

I have a man crush on Victor Oladipo. He has the perfect demeanor on and off the court.
I'd love it if he were a Blazer, but I know it's never gonna happen.

You are just making stuff up to prove your point. Lets just stick to the facts.

Year 1-Signed Ronnie Price (Not a good player but a vet min guy he signed)
Year 2-Signed Dorrell Wright, Earl Watson, and Mo Williams (Literally 3 vet trash heap guys)
He also signed Steve Blake and Chris Kaman to exceptions one of the years we didn't have cap space.

The year Aldridge left it made sense to go young not bring in vets. The next two years we have fought staying under the tax line (which 100% would be an order from above).

I'm not sure how you can say he doesn't or isn't willing to sign vet min type guys.
