He didn't spend any time in the G league, did he? He was sort of just thrown to the wolves. I wonder how things would have progressed differently had he spent time there and built some confidence. I don't know if that was what has prevented him from getting over the hump, but he definitely had promise.

Everything I've ever heard/read is that he just doesn't process things quickly. Could never get a proper handle on playbooks, schemes, rotations, etc, and doesn't really have the motor to overcome that deficiency.

yeah, that is. Meanwhile, TRob is 31 & Meyers is 30. Speaking of Meyers, it's kind of amazing that one word can end a career

I considered saying that Vonleh had "Thomas Robinson syndrome", but then deleted it. But I think there are a lot of similarities.

in terms of very similar PF's that Portland was related to in the last 15 years it was Tyrus Thomas--->TRob--->Vonleh. Kind of a cautionary timeline when it comes to those high-level-athlete-low-level-skills PF's. This is a big reason why I was not a big fan of Jalen Duren even though he might not quite fit the mold

I see Duren as developing those skills. Those other players you list did not. Duren has the looks of a young Dwight Howard, but with better shooting touch. Scary. Wish we would have drafted him. But i just need to follow my own advise and be patient with Sharpe. Fingers crossed he lives up to the highlights we see. The skills are all there to be special.

My guy CJ Elleby will go to training camp with my brother's Minnesota Timberwolves and compete for a roster spot.

Good luck CJ. His game was coming along. He was a terrific rebounder, and his shot, when open, was finally dropping. I appreciated his effort on the court.

Bring in current Adelaide 36ers head coach, and former Trail Blazer (sort of) CJ Bruton as an assistant.

He should've used Amtrak....these folk trying to fly with cannabis are asking for trouble....they'll never ask you about your check through bags on the train.

    2 questions:

    1. When is your next train trip?

    2. And does Amtrak offer rewards for drug smugglers?

no you still have to buy those five dollar hot dogs ..but they're not bad....don't think I'll be taking the train anytime soon. I only travel to states with dispensaries so it's not an issue.
