Tough 0-5 start to CJs playoff career with the Pels

It's amazing that the Pels' big 3 are a dreadful 9-34 at half, but the rest of the team is an even more atrocious 2-15.

I have to imagine their coaching staff will chalk this up to a fluky offensive performance.

I would chalk it up to advancing through two play-in games and facing a rested #1 seed. I feel like the PIT is pointless unless the top-6 teams are also playing during that time span for seeding. One PIT game might not be a deal killer, but two of them is a big uphill battle.

Supporting cast went 9-12 in the 3rd, and suddenly the Pels are in this. If CJ and JV can wake up in the 4th, they could have a chance.

Can Dame be this great like CP3 at age 35?

    25 pts on 25 shots

Suddenly CJ is playing like Portland CJ.

in the two play-in games and tonight, CJ scored 76 points on 72 shots; Ingram scored 75 points on 57 shots. CJ has averaged 24 shots, Ingram has averaged 19

CJ is in his comfort zone. He can jack up more shots than he ever has. He deferred to Dame, slightly, when they played together. But he sure isn't deferring to Ingram, and Ingram is a better player

Yeah, he's got a tough defender on him that he has no business jacking up all of those shots against but self awareness on the court has never been CJ's strong suit. Remember he once said that he's a great defender. That was hilarious. That being said, when or if that team has Zion and if CJ or Willie Green will make sure the ball is being spread around, they'll be really good and fun to watch. We'll have to wait and see. I think they have a really fun roster and at the same time I hate them for taking advantage of Cronin's dumbfuckery. I know it's their job to do that but it still infuriates me.

CJ is a great defender. Everyone in the NBA is a great defender. Kanter is a great defender. These are the best players in the world.

"Great" is by its very nature a relative term. Thus, when discussing/debating the validity of a statement centered on such, agreement of the context must be reached before said discussion can proceed cogently.

It is clear that when discussing CJ's "great"ness as a defender, most are commenting in reference to other NBA players, not in relation to the basketball-playing public as a whole. Your reply which clearly ignores the obvious context is either intentionally disingenuous or woefully clueless, and lends nothing to the actual discussion at hand.

100%. Just like the other day when I said some of our end of the bench guys suck/are fringe NBA players and was told they don't suck and they could beat me in a game.

Cool. I'm not a NBA player trying to win a championship. Not sure how that is relevant.

    If Zion comes back....

    Zion
    CJ
    Ingram
    Valanciunas
    Herb Jones
    Trey Murphy
    Jaxson Hayes
    Larry Nance Jr

Plus they have a lotto pick from the Lakers to use in trade or draft someone

I don't know how someone with a straight face could say we will be better than them.

Maybe we do enough to get into the play in. The Clippers will be better than us too if George and Kawhi are healthy. We are better than the Spurs.
