Celtics core all from the draft in recent years. We honestly need top picks for the next few drafts to be able to compete.

Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown a better duo than Paul Pierce & Antoine Walker?

Funny how Marcus Smart was trying to give the game to the Heat and Butler missed.

The Refs did it again, with the most unusual and highly questionable negating of the Max Strus swish3 in the 3rd Q, announced several minutes after the fact. This was a game changer that even Sam Quinn, writing for CBS Sports, explained in his article,
Heat vs. Celtics: Reversed Max Strus 3-pointer proves pivotal in final moments of Game 7

Here is an except from that sports commentary.
"Rarely can a single play in the third quarter drastically impact the outcome of a playoff game, but a shot by Max Strus in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics might have been an exception. At the 11:04 mark in the third quarter, Max Strus sank a 3-pointer that cut a deficit that had once gotten as high as 17 down to two. Nearly three minutes later, with Robert Williams III about to take a free throw, an announcement could be heard in the background.

The 3-pointer made by Strus had been wiped off of the board. Miami's young sharpshooter stepped out of bounds on the play. When Williams went to the line, the Celtics were up eight. When he made his second free throw, they were up 13.

The review itself was unusual. While officials will often use replay to turn a 3-pointer into a 2-pointer minutes after the fact, it's exceedingly rare that a shot is wiped off of the board completely. Here's what makes the Strus shot even stranger: It's not fully clear that he even stepped out of bounds:"

Even in a Game 7 ECF game, the heavy hand of the Refs in determining the outcome is too much influence on the outcome. Let's expect and demand a higher more professional quality of judgement from the NBA Refs in all of the games!

Crazy that all Greg Pop assistant coaches are all doing well from Monty to Bud and now we have Steve Kerr vs Ime. Maybe we should have sign Becky. Who knows what she can do.

It was the right call. They can complain all they want. Doesn't matter.
What happens if they just call it a missed call and the Celtics lose that game? Too many people had seen it. The camera angles were all over it. The TV crew had discussed it.

It was the right call. The replay did show his foot was just over the line. The issue was they took so long to do it. Something like that should be done immediately, not after a long run where the lead is cut to two.

Every team needs players like that. They’re hard to get.
