No they're not. A reputable source would've retorted out if they were, not just "The Ringer" ave "The InQuisitr".

    You're smarter than this.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
It comes from Tim Kawakami, a former Warriors beat writer who's now working for The Athletic. And what he said is that the Warriors are always working on "if everything lines up just right" moves in the background, keeping things flexible in case a fantastic opportunity comes along. They did the same in regards to Durant a few years ahead of time and that actually did all come together. They are not working on it like it's a priority currently. It's leaving themselves in a position to make a play in a couple of years, if things lined up, when having four max deals might not be feasible but consolidating a couple (like Thompson and Green) into one gigantic star might extend the run.

Do the Warriors need more scoring? They would not be as good defensively in that scenario.

Ok y'all, I'm really cracking down on the ancillary threads that belong in the Around the NBA thread. Lots of merging lately... think about if it's a thread worthy of its own thread or belongs here.

    Quick cheat sheet:

If it's about the blazers, or a blazers player that was of high interest (LA, Wes, Batum, Fatty, etc) make a thread by itself

If it has no implications of a blazer trade, or a blazer (Think anthony davis, or any other player that's not involved in a rumor with the blazers in a direct trade to the blazers) it goes here, or in the corresponding month of the Around the NBA.

Gonna keep merging threads, but please, consider this when you make a thread.

There's very little grey here, so don't look for loopholes. But it's about time we clean up the sidewalk a bit.

    LOL.

But that did have merit as Portland was directly involved with it.

I would love to see that trade happen! Dubs would then be vulnerable. Davis is hurt often.

Nooooooo! because that's the thread that started the whole "HCP makes people quit or not join S2" remember? Remember? Because he "brags" about his job. We don't want to start bringing THAT stuff up again!

Is THAT what you get from looking at those stats? I see a young kid who isn't having THAT bad of a rookie campaign. You don't see that?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He can't shoot and he can't defend his position. He does have the other skills, but none of his passing or rebounding will matter if he never learns to shoot and defend. Not in this era. Ricky Rubio is a brilliant passer and a very good defender and is still not a star, because his inability to shoot negates everything else.

Lmao, you can twist stats to tell any story.

So basically, as a PG who's only strength right now is passing:
-He has more APG (barely) then the most score-first PGs in the league.
-He's getting REB, which is irrelevant for a PG, and it's better to have PGs up the floor for a quick outlet than grabbing rebounds at the rim.
-He's getting more blocks than a soft C who's the worst shot blocker in the league.
-Woohoo, he gets a steal and a half a game, better than some Pgs. Yay!
    - He has a better PER than another fellow rookie picked below him who's having a poor rookie season himself.
-He's shooting around league average from 3 for the past 5 weeks. That's good! Wait, no, that's a hand-picked sample just to find a stretch where he shot average.

    His season is trash.

I've said this before, that makes his stats that much more impressive. He is doing this when EVERYBODY on earth knows he can't shoot. I'm not a huge fan, but I think when I see people blindly saying how much he "sucks" and is a "bust", it bugs a bit.
