Would you trade CJ for Porzingis?

No because you are filling one hole while creating another.

I would however trade any combination of Crabbe/Turner/Aminu/Meyers + 2017 first round picks (max of 2) for him. Would prefer to hold on to Crabbe but doubt we could make that deal without including him.

Realistically though you would probably have to include a Dame/CJ/Nurk in order to beat the offers from other teams. I think our best hope of landing a guy like Porzingis is to continue improving and making noise in the playoffs, and hoping players view Portland as a place to go to elevate your game/win.

I would trade all 3 firsts for pozingis and not think for a second.

    New York wouldn't though

It would take AT LEAST CJ, three picks, then we are likely going to have to take on a bad contract like Noah just to get him.

In a heartbeat. I love CJ but Porzingis is special and EXACTLY what we need at power forward. He is an absolute superstar in the making and having both him and Nurkic out there would immediately make our frontcourt one of the best in NBA.

Subtract Porzingis, since keeping CJ would nullify that instantly.

Not necessarily. Spurs got Kawhi for George Hill. Anything is possible.

They will not give us a superstar potential like Porzingis for two mid-first round and one late first rounder. They will have offers far better than that if they decide they are willing to part with Porzingis. He is a potential franchise player with very few weaknesses to his game. He can score from pretty much anywhere on the court, he is not bad defensively, he is so young that when you think that he is likely to improve a lot in the next 3-5 years, he is probably one of the most valuable players in the league. And you get to keep him for 6 years if you want when you get him!

Wait, what? Kawhi was a mid-first round pick. George Hill was and is not a spectacular player, he is a competent point guard but that's all. Nowhere near Porzingis potential. And if you mean that Kawhi is Porzingis in this trade, well nobody knew Kawhi would become this good and hence he only went 15th.

Well Jackson don't like to be show up like this kid did for not showing up for the exit meeting. There is possible that the Knicks tries to move him for just that and what he said about how the Knicks is run. That can't sit well to Jackson especially how big ego Jackson got. If I was Neil I would at least kick the tires on possible a trade.
