It wont be the vet min, but it will be substantially less than what he could get and the Cavs will make room. When the Cav's dont win it all this year, they will make room. I think CP3 now knows he wont win if he is number 1, but he can be a great 2nd/3rd wheel.
They're way beyond capped out. They have the largest payroll in the NBA by far. Nothing's literally impossible, but unless Paul either wants the minimum or the mini mid-level, I'm fairly certain Paul isn't going to Cleveland.
CP3 to CHI, NOP, LAL, OR MIL BG to BOS, LAL, MIA, or OKC DJ gets traded to TOR, SAS, or MIL J.J. to IND, MEM, OKC, or NOP
If Neil still has some inside connections to The Clippers then leave them with our snake oils contracts and take away some useful veterans. Get a feel for just how desperate they are.
The Clippers don't have any useful veterans. CP3 is far and away their best player, we have Dame and CJ. BG is still going to be a max player and honestly I'm not sure he's worth it at this point with his injuries and history. We have Nurk so why would we want DJ? That leaves the Clippers role players. JJ Reddick would be the most desirable, and that's only because the others are LMBAM, Austin Powers, Crawful, and Donut boy. Actually the only player on their team I'm remotely interested in is a player I've had on my radar for a while - Wesley Johnson. I think Stotts could get the best out of WJ, but I'm not sure that he's good enough to warrant acquiring at this point in our trajectory - that is to say we should have our sights set higher than Wesley Johnson.
I want to hear Westbrook's pitch. "Think of it, man, think of the possibilities. You come to Oklahoma City and that's like two or three more assists to my average. Easy. We got this!"
"It obviously didn't work for you playing with a PG who passed you the ball. Why not come to OKC and try playing with one who won't?"
If Markieff Morris can't go in game 2, I think WAS should suit up Marcus and see if anyone notices. BNM
Okay. Imagine this. I'm offering YOU Orion Bailey $200 MILLION DOLLARS to star on a basketball team in L.A. OR you can take wayyyy less and ride LeBron's coattails for a CHANCE (no guarantee) at a little thing to stick around your finger and brag about. What would YOU choose? Me? I say yes to the $200 million immediately. There's more to my life than a 15 year career in sports. This extra $200 million sets up family for generations. Easy choice.
