So you reckon they would have gone 21-7 to close the season after being 23-31 before his injury? That’s a bold statement.
Yeah, Vogel never had a chance to succeed with that fucked up front office and unbalanced roster. They could never decide if they were in win now mode are going young. They traded Oladipo for the much older Ibaka, which then forced both Gordon and Fournier to play out of position, and then half a season later, hit the eject button and sent Ibaka to TOR for Terence Ross. They GAVE us both Harkless (who had just turned 22) and Napier (who would have been way better than any PG they've had on the roster for the last two years). But yeah, lets fire Frank. It's all his fault... BNM
Vogel and Hornacek should get calls from Terry this summer when Vanterpool and Tibbett’s get HC jobs.
I do not get this either. You build a bad team on purpose with desire to tank and lose as many games as possible and eventually when you succeed at it, you fire the coach. Jay Wright will get quite a few calls this offseason.
ORL is making the Kings front office look competent. Their starting backcourt this season could have been Victor Oladipo and Shabazz Napier. Instead, it was Jonathan Simmons (28-years old) and D.J. Augustin (30 years old). So much for developing the young guys. They haven't drafted that badly, they just give up on their young guys way too soon and replace them with veteran retreads. BNM
IND had the No. 1 ranked defense two years in a row under Vogel and took The Heatles to 7 games in the ECF. BNM
I didn't know the record was that bad when he got injured. I guess it had already started to fall apart but they did get off to a decent start.
