Trail Blazers fans' new LeBron James billboard goes up in Portland Looks like the morons behind this stupid campaign met their Go Fund Me goal to actually put up a sign disrespecting and insulting LeBron James. Seriously, third option??? WTF?? LeBron is nobody's second option. Do they actually think telling LeBron the people of Portland think he would be the third fiddle behind Dame and C.J. will make him want to play here? So, not only did they waste their money on something that is never going to happen, they have helped insure that it won't. Good job dumb asses. BNM

How do you know he wasn't? Not saying the door was open, but if it was slightly ajar, why would we SLAM IT??? We're a 3-seed. Let's look the 4 teams better than us: HOU - Very hard to impossible for them to have the ability to acquire him. (CLE doesn't want any contracts via sign-and-trade, HOU is going to have a very hard time clearing cap space) GSW - Not gonna happen, for multiple reasons but mainly they don't have the cap space. BOS - Not going there because of Kyrie. TOR - The only realistic option because they have decent contracts they could sign-and-trade for him. And then there's us, and we're in the same boat as Toronto. So the best two realistic options in the league are us and Toronto (Phili's up there too). There's worse teams with some appeal as well (mainly the Lakers). Not saying he was coming here, but I don't believe there was no chance we'd get a meeting with him... until now.

Oh jesus. I appreciate your passion man but it was never going to happen, and if it was, the billboard would have no affect on his decision. It’s like you forget Lebron returned to a team owned by a guy who wrote a three page letter bashing Lebron in comic sans when he left the first time.
That's not even an apples to oranges comparison, that's how incomparable those two things are. "Honk to show who you want to draft" compared to "LeBron, if you thought about possibly coming to Portland, you'd be a role player"
Who's to say it wasn't? We're the 5th best team in the league. We have a guy in Dame who LeBron already says he'd love to play with and a 2-guard in McCollum who's from LeBron's neck of the woods. We have Nike in our backyard, which he's noted. The other top teams aren't realistic options. I'm not saying it's not unlikely, but to say we have 0 chance is selling us short. LeBron returned to that team because it was his hometown team, and wanted to win a championship for his hometown. Even if it has no affect, it makes our fanbase look dumb.
