I think if Aldridge had stayed and Olshey had made the other changes he did, the Blazers would have the second best record in the West.

I was actually just thinking about that.

If you put Aldridge with this team, as it is currently constructed, we have one of the best teams in the league. :sigh:

Now THAT was aesthetically pleasing basketball. In spite of the temptation to hate on Aldridge, watching that makes it hard to root against the Spurs - except when we play them, of course. They play such a sublime style of TEAM basketball on both ends of the court.

I mean, come on, 39 assists!!! 10 blocked shots and only 8 TOVs. I know we don't have time to become the Spurs overnight, but I hope our coaching staff makes that game required viewing for all our players over the summer. Sure, the Spurs have individual talent, but in spite of what Mark Cuban said, OKC has two superstars and the Spurs made them look like a fucking junior varsity team tonight. That is a clear example of what is possible when everyone on the team buys in and plays together on both ends.

Besides, as a Blazers fan, it's hard to root against Dre and Patty Cakes.

BTW, the 39 assists is a season high for the Spurs. Their previous high was 35 two times.

The NBA season high was 40, once each by GSW and ORL.

The Blazers season high was 34 assists in a 121-84 win over ORL on 3/12.

I've always been OK with Aldridge deciding to go to SA - he made the right decision. However, I'm still annoyed at HOW and WHEN he made his decision.

I agree that if this happens again, KD is outta there.

OKC is going to detonate after this season. Durant is going to leave. They should trade Ibaka. They don't have the talent to get it done.

Now, if they hadn't traded Harden, they probably would have a championship.

    Can't agree more.

If you're a Blazer fan and you don't see that this move was mutually beneficial by now, then you need to open your eyes.

We should have traded him two years earlier when it was pretty obvious he was going to leave. That was my complaint.

Funny story, when we drafted lillard I was saying that we should trade Aldridge to sacramento for cousins and robinson . All of my friends said I was an idiot.....
That game today was fucking crazy though... I think Leonard played 21 minutes.... Aldridge played 29.... pop is a fucking genious. I could see the Spurs sweeping every single team from here on out. They make that 2014 spurs team look bad.

Chris Webber said it best in the Spurs blowout...it's like layup practice...OKC played the worst defense I've ever seen...Lamarcus used the same move play after play and when they did nothing to counter he feasted on little jumpers all night long. Durant and Westbrook shot like a deep freeze...Westbrook had 2 pts at halftime. I still think the Spurs are winning this season and even though Lamarcus pissed me off.....it'll be good to see Patty Mills and Andre Miller getting rings at the end

From the little I saw of the Spurs game I noticed one thing:

Pop got into TT's ass about his left hand!!

I saw a fundamental shimmy shake to the FLUID left hand hook. I saw FLUID up and under with the left hand that was not herky jerky with a hitch. I saw this MF..... :smiley-195517897341

Show & Go from the high post, drive left, take 2 FUNDAMENTAL steps and finish strong with the left....

I turned that shit off after that and played 2K with my nephew...

Jeremy Lamb is one of the better shooters in the league. Seems like the dude has a lot of games where he's 5-5, 6-7, etc... from down town.

Past two games have been absolute blowouts for the home team. I don't like this trend.
