They should trade Hayward for Even Turner. Duh. Come on Olshey. Why hasn't this happened yet?

Something has got to give in Boston. Tatum and Brown are developing faster than anyone can have realistically expected.

Both guys might be in line for max deals in 3/4 yrs. This, after giving Kyrie his new max and Horford/Hayward already on the books for 30 mil each.

No way they can afford all this plus Rozier/Smart/etc.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Ainge try to move Hayward.

I have been thinking the same. If it was not for Steven's history with Gordon and the primary reason he chose Boston, I think it would be an easy decision. As it is maybe GH will be ok with a trade? But there does seem to be one too many SF's on their

Would it really be unfathomable for them to play 3 wings between Irving and Horford? It's not like the bruising PF of yesteryear is really much of a thing anymore.

I'm wondering if they might entertain trading Kyrie? Rozier has proven more than capable playing PG and Kyrie is injury prone.

I don't think that's a good idea. Any of those guys at PF would be a disaster IMO. But hey.. Brad "fucking" Stevens. :dunno:

Yeah you are right since Brown is playing SG now and I think both Tatum and GH can both handle the ball even better than JB. But I also think that an Irving/Rosier/ Smart rotation is already deep enough as a 3 guard lineup, even without using any of the wings.
It seem like someone will eventually want to be traded.

That'll probably be Smart. I'd love him in a 3 guard rotation.

Yeah I would too. He plays with an edge. The fact he is 225 lbs even allows him to play SF..... at times.
Obviously getting him would be tough, so I am hoping Wade Baldwin can be a poor man's version. At 202 lbs they are not exactly the same body type, but he is two years younger and will get better.

Wade B has stayed here in town and has been working out a bunch with the strength and conditioning crew. Good sign if you ask me. Sounds like he is focused.

Marcus Smart has a similar build (a little shorter) and tenacity that Mathews had when he was with us. He's undersized to play much small forward though but could in certain situations.

It's nice to have some of these players around that haven't made it yet and have that hunger to be an NBA player. It's the difference of having to go out in the real world and work or be set for life if you invest wisely and can carve out a 10 year or more career.

Yes, but will Cleveland get swept? That's the question of the day.

I understand that standing reach helps on D, but hell Smart weighs more than our starting SF and PF.
I agree he is undersized but a lot of factors come into play in being a good defender and Smart IMO possesses a lot of them.

My guess is a lot of that has to do with Dame. Dame lives in Portland year round from what I understand.

I might become a Lakers fan if and when hell freezes over.
