Well the end of it about Boston making runs certainly came off that way so it makes sense. I just think in general refs tend to call games differently for the home team. I don’t think the NBA is rigged or fixed, though I do think officiating isn’t that good, they probably need another ref on the court and some changes but I wasn’t going for the the NBA wants a long series or whatever. Totally understand how that vibe came off though.

There may be some instances where refs give the benefit of the doubt to the home team but I'm a firm believer that refs sincerely try to ref a fair game. If there's a problem I would say it's when you get a ref's emotion going and get a technical foul called. It's a very bad idea to get a ref's emotion involved in calling a game.

    I agree.

In King's blow-out scenario, one team is playing well and having a good game. As long as it's my team, that can be fun once in a while. Like the "Miracle Minute". Fans love when their team does that.

But a good game (emphasis on 'game') is when both teams are having a good game. It's competitive, the score is close, the outcome is in doubt, it's exciting, even nerve wracking. The 'game' is good, not just one team. It's dramatic. That's why I watch sports.

The occasional blow-out by the good guys is enjoyable. But when the games are never competitive, or the outcome is never in doubt, it gets boring. I have other things to do.

I was at a Blazer game once upon a time, when they had no three point shot and we were behind by 5 points with about 10 seconds left. They had the ball and called a time out. We won the game during regulation time, meaning no overtime.. That was one of the sweetest wins I've ever experienced. Not quite as good as winning the final game in 1977 nor the thrilling wins by Brandon Roy and Damian Lillard but still very thrilling.

Game is over after the first. Celtics continue their putrid road performance after one quarter.

Competitive games and a competitive series isn't the same thing.

Iggy is doubtful for Game 4. That is big loss for Warriors if he doesn't play.

How can anybody other than LeBron be the MVP? It’s just ridiculous how much better than everyone else he is.

It's true. I watched Rockets/Warriors last night and I simply couldn't see what D'Antoni was talking about when he said Harden was best offensive player of all time. I don't see it. He's a good player but LeBron, Durant, and Curry are better now, never mind all time.
