Draymond Groin (thanks, @handiman) collected an unusual triple-double tonight: 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals. He had 4 points. Bizarre to miss the scoring part of the quadruple-double. He apparently had opportunities to shoot in the fourth quarter, but passed the ball instead.
He should have gone for 10 points. I read on another forum that he would have been the first player since 1994 to record quadruple double.
Is it just me, or does LaMarcus kind of suck now? 22 million a year for 17/7 on mediocre efficiency and decent defense.
His efficiency has generally been pretty meh, going back to his Portland days. At his best, the previous three years or so, he was a big who was good across the board but great at nothing. He can score at medium efficiency, rebound reasonably well and defend reasonably well. He's not, and never has been, a superstar but he's a good fit for the Spurs who needed some talent infusion with their past stars fading.
and 5 blocks. Fun fact: he was drafted 24 places after we took Meyers. (And 15 places after the Celtics took Fab Melo (RIP).)
I know people like to moan and bitch about Aldridge but the Spurs have been pretty damn good since getting him and he has one of the more unstoppable big man shots since the Dream Shake.
