Just like Snoop said at 14:50:

    He was doing security's job.

Bullshit. Security should've been doing their job and the fan (short for fanatic) wouldn't have even made it to the floor.

Now would security have shoved him? More than likely yes.

Perusing league stats, I found it amusing that the 4 players ranked immediately behind CJ in scoring are the ones he's always either compared to, or mock-traded for.

    20 CJ McCollum, SG POR 51 36.1 21.9 8.4-18.3 .456 2.5-5.9 .425 2.7-3.1 .869
    Jimmy Butler, SG MIN 49 37.0 21.9 7.3-15.5 .475 1.2-3.3 .360 6.0-6.9 .868
    22 Paul George, SF OKC 50 36.4 21.6 7.3-16.5 .444 3.1-7.4 .422 3.9-4.7 .818
    23 Klay Thompson, SG GS 51 34.3 20.3 7.9-16.1 .492 3.3-7.2 .455 1.2-1.4 .859
    24 Khris Middleton, SF MIL 51 37.1 20.2 7.4-16.0 .460 1.8-5.4 .342 3.6-4.1 .87

And, of course, one spot ahead of him is LMA.

Were people on his case during the philly incident?
iirc people(myself included) were on Westbricks side.

Yes security should've done their job and keep him off the floor. They were most likely celebrating right along with the rest of the Denver fans.
Westbrick however didn't need to push the guy. Frankly it was just as unacceptable as the fan being on the court.

Security during the Pel's game didn't shove the fan who got on the court acting like a member of the team in warmups.
Why? Because the Pel's fan calmly went back to his court side seat.
    There goes your assumption.

In one breath you say they should've been doing their job. Then you give them an out saying they were probably NOT doing their jobs and celebrating instead. Which actually, is the PRECISE moment they should be doing their jobs.

Now, your insinuation that they wouldn't have shoved him is the exact same as my assumption that they might.

    Why won't we ever know?

Because Westbrook was too busy doing their job for them.

Apples to oranges. That fan is not on the floor.

For Westbrook to make contact he would have to leave the playing surface.

These 2 incidents aren't remotely similar.

That's your prerogative if you think I gave the security guards an out.
    I however am being realistic.
If anyone(myself included) were to say they've never been distracted for a few moments while on the job I'd call them a bold face liar.

No, my example of the security guard in the pels pre-game...
Showed security doesn't have to be physical to remove someone from a basketball court or really anywhere.
In fact most places where security actually exists. They won't get physically with you, unless you give them a reason to.(Due to being worried about a lawsuit)

If this fan fell and cracked his head on the court because of Westbricks push. Westbrick would be in a shit ton of trouble right now.
Yes security should've kept the fan off the court as the fan was wrong to be there.
However just because a fan is on the court... It does NOT give Westbrick permission to have a physical confrontation with said fan. He's smarter than that.

    You coach your kids team.
If a parent from the other team got on the court. I guarantee you would be the first on the court grabbing your kids to get them away from said parent.
In fact when your son gets older(high school), because you're a good dad. I bet you'd slap your son straight to college if he confronted a parent/fan who got on the court.

    Stop posting with emotion.

I said in previous posts that there was no reason why Westbrick couldn't have handled the Denver situation like the Philly situation.
Both fans were wrong, both fans deserved to be kicked out, both fans were looking for a confrontation.
One situation Westbrick went to the officials and the fan was removed.
The other Westbrick got baited by a fan looking for a confrontation.
    He's smarter than that.

He should have flopped like Harden. Would have made a boatload of money on that.

After watching Aldridge DESTROY him in Games 1 and 2 of the 2014 series against, HOU, I'm not surprised POR never wanted him.

They are also signing Emeka Okafor to a 10-day contract. He hasn't played in the league in 5 years. Clearly, they're desperate.

Read my post again. There literally was no emotion... :dunno:

And I'll guess we'll just completely disagree on these two incidents being similar.

    Tl Dr just skimmed

Stop comparing 3rd graders to grown men. If a parent got in my kids face I'd probably beat his ass that day let alone just a shove. I'd be security.

You're creating a lot of false equivalences..

I didn't get the memo that it was only for road games. Regardless, I've always enjoyed the "running to the locker room after making the GW at the buzzer" the most.

Honestly I think it's stupid to do it at home. When you're on the road you've stollen the game and stollen the hope of all the fans and you run away with it, but at home your fans are here celebrating your shot, why wouldn't you stay on the court and celebrate him with them ? I'm sure it would make them happier too.

WOW! Didn't see the Okafor signing. That is even more crazy than the other signing. And as far as being surprised the Blazers never signed Jones, that is more sarcasm than true wonder. Trader Bob would not have thought twice about signing him.

Actually, I doubt if he would have even considered it. Whitsitt was all about chasing big names and making a splash. He was much more likely to sign a big name has been than a no name never was, like Jones.
