Id actually have some hope in that case, especially with 2 lotto picks and the assets from the inevitable Dame package.

Well, if you believe Gary’s dad there is no way he would’ve played that way here.

And probably no way he stays in Portland either. *If* you believe his dad, I reiterate.

If Neil had believed in bubble Gary and dealt CJ in the 2020 off-season (I was pushing for pre-all-star Randle), who knows where we'd be right now.

I could've sworn everyone thought we signed Powell to a very team-friendly contract. If anyone's to blame, it might actually be Billups for driving Norm's value down.

Billups was forced to start him out of position.

So was Stotts, and he was still valued enough in that role last year to have been considered a great signing.

his numbers under billups were actually better than under Stotts. And his contract being valuable is debatable. Some people said it was some people said it wasn’t.

With all the buzz lately i would imagine his stats would look much better than Powell's. But strangely enough he scores same amount of points less efficiently with less rebounds and assists. He performs much better defensively though.

blazers aren't ever going to leave portland, but crowds at Moda have been worse this year.

I don't remember anyone saying it wasn't a good value contract at the time of the signing.

Numbers obviously don't equate to perceived value in this case.

Hollinger said teams think the years are a liability. Anyways this is straying from your original statement that Billups is to blame because he drove his value down. That’s just the stretch of all stretches and objectively false.

Now, sure, when his value has been driven down. No one was suggesting the contract or annual salary were too high at the time. Unless you've got some references I'm unaware of. I'm pretty sure it was just the opposite, with general praise for locking him in long-term at a good rate.

    Nice bailout attempt. ;)

We can go in circles all you want about the value of his contract, but you’re avoiding your own point again. How can Powell’s value be driven down by Billups if his numbers under him were better than under Stotts?

Oh I know but these clowns who think they are become hilarious when there’s teams like the Pelicans that literally have nobody go to their games
