You forgot Russ shitty defense and gambling for steals.

Its a joke the guy is a top75 player.

Only playoff success he had was MVP Durant carrying that franchise. Dennis Smith Jr could've been the PG on those teams.

He's another Steve Francis/Stephon Marbury but he steals teammates rebounds. Sure it can be entertaining to watch. But he's not an elite PG nor an elite basketball player.

lol, he wanted to be a starting 2G. He wasn't going to be that in Portland, so being depressed and crying about it is the solution?
I'm glad he's happy now, but blaming things on Portland doesn't jive with anything I've heard.

If CJ had been dealt a couple years ago, Trent would absolutely have been the starter. After the bubble, it was the obvious move, and we missed that window.

as a second rounder, he got so much more opportunity to play than guys ahead of him. And all the vets looked out for him and still do to this day- Hell, dame recorded a rap with him in the bubble and included him in every team gathering. CJ was the first to publicly congratulate him on his upcoming contract after he was traded.

Bunch of nonsense; people just talking shit about us when we're down.

I imagine GTS is comfortable saying what he's got to say now because the person in question is no longer with the Blazers FO. Sr. is alumni so I doubt he's going to talk shit about anyone who's still there.

Also, Jr. has hardly said boo to a goose since he's arrived in Toronto; this isn't coming directly from him and I don't know what kind of relationship he has with Sr., if Sr. would talk about Jr.'s personal life apropos of nothing or if he would've checked with his son before speaking.

GTS just wants his name in the spotlight it appears because it's fashionable to shit on our team and city now. The premise is just hilarious, as is GTJ's repeated commentary recently about how now his teammates finally believe in him. As if he didn't get 20+ mpg as a sophomore 2nd rounder, and 30+ his third year.

Let's also not forget GTS probably doesn't have great memories of his time here, so he might have an axe to grind.

Trent has had several scrapes with the law this year. In March, Trent was placed on probation for one year for harassing his pregnant girlfriend during a Jan. 7 domestic dispute. Roxanne Holt, 20, said Trent hit her in the face and kicked her in the ribs. She since has moved to Columbus, Ohio. Three days after his March court appearance, Trent was involved in a fight at the Metropolis Restaurant and Bar in downtown Portland. He allegedly hit a man over the head with a pool cue. Witnesses, however, said the man was needling Trent and threw a drink in Trent’s face before the blow was struck. A grand jury declined to indict Trent.

Trent spent a few hours in the Clackamas County Jail in January for failure to pay or respond to repeated false alarms at his home. He eventually was fined $2,650 _ $650 for 10 false alarms and $2,000 for a contempt-of-court charge for failing to pay the false-alarm citations.

Let's also not forget that Jr. was offered and rejected a 4yr, 50+ million deal as a third year player who was averaging 7 points a game for his career at the time. Didn't believe in him? What? Did his dad want a max deal?

I think you've sussed it out. Jr wanted the bag, Oshley wouldn't give it to him, he took it as a slight and resentment probably built up. Maybe we'll find out he wanted to be traded?

Sr. sounds like an asshole. I remember him being thought of as one of the NBA's tough guys, didn't realize that extended to DV.

I actually think he deserves Top 75 for his past achievement. He led the league in scoring, averaged a triple double, and won MVP. He was a plus player that year and it was pretty impressive. But now, he's awful. A major negative player.

Julius can play, he's just not a first option. Seems like a really nice guy for the most part, FWIW

watched their game at Utah. He was killing it until the fourth when defense shut down his creation. The have no playmaking guards, so Jazz just clamped up Randle. I think he'd really flourish as a secondary playmaker
