Melo is a better fit in Cleveland than Love is. Love just isn't reliable for consistent buckets, Melo is and I bet Melo would be terrifying next to LeBron and Kyrie.

Its more than just different "dynamics", my friend. You're probably someone who said that the same level players would get the same level contracts this summer, and now that that's not the case, you can't handle people that point it out.

    Oh well.

You don't loose it all you got to meet is the low end of the salary cap if it goes to your blazers. But what Olshey he reach the top end and this why we don't have know flexibility. Instead of paying players what they are really worth Olshey went opposite he paid how much money they gave him to spend. But he didn't have to spend all of it you could have save it until he need it.

This is absolutely what Cleveland should do if they want to make sure that James leaves them once his contract is up. While Love would still have some mileage left and could kept or traded for some pieces that could keep the Cavs going, Carmelo is nearing the end of the line. LeBron will probably end up in a Lakers uniform and the East will continue to shrivel.

    Absolutely agree, but....

Jazz fans hate Kanter, like Hayward.
Because Kanter bitched, they traded him and got something for him.
    They got nothing for Hayward.

As a practical matter, leaving as an FA is MUCH worse than bitching and being thrown out.
    It's actually kinda weird.

Which is why I kind of strangely respect what Paul George did. I'll never respect someone wanting to play for the Lakers, but straight up telling the Pacers that he wasn't going to resign at least allowed the organization to get something in return. Sure, KP probably fucked up the trade, but the opportunity was there at least. You have to appreciate honesty. At least Paul George didn't tell them he wanted to go down as the greatest Pacer of all time. Instead, he told them that he wanted to go down on the greatest gold and purple cock of all time.

The NBA can fine for whatever they want. Free speech doesn't affect private corporations. It only applies to the government. It's up to the Players Association to stick up for their own.
