My idea would be that there's still 30 franchises that own 2 teams each (1 D-league & 1 NBA - at least initially). All 30 players count against the same cap. I'd be awesome for the Blazers to have (& own) both the Portland Trailblazers & the Spokane what-ever-you-want-to-name-them teams playing in the NBA. It'd make it especially sweet to see the Lakers demoted & play in the D-League with the D-fenders. Talk about having motivation to keep winning! Players between the two teams can be swapped (although they'd have to sit out at least one game before being eligible to play for the other team). Draft would be based on the worst record to best record of the best team each franchise owned. It will never happen, but it would make things so much more entertaining. Franchises would have to be extremely smart handing out contracts. Games would have so much more at stake every night.
Well...im back on Nuggets-watch. Ive got local Denver channels here in WY so got it televised. The commentators IMMEDIATELY mentioned the Blazers win tonight. They seem slightly troubled at our nipping at their heels. Go not-Nuggets!
Nuggets choked the shit out of that game against Houston. Jesus. They missed 9 ft's in the 2nd half. Houston did everything to lose that game, and still won. Houston is a first round and out team. Not impressed.
That game was a shit show. Ive never seen so many fucked up dunks, failed alley-oops and missed free throws. Glad its over and glad Denver lost.
To be frankly honest, I wanted Denver to win because I vowed since the Houston series that I would never cheer for a Rockets win in any scenario ever.
They were on 2nd of a back to back after a tough game last night. 1 game sample size doesnt mean anything
Rockets were 5-24 from 3 and still won. The Denver commentators are whining about the calls right now. Yeah the officiating was shit, but it wasn't really lopsided favoring one team, Denver should have lost by at least 10.
Rockets up 2 games on the Cavs. If that continues, our Cleveland pick will be 26 instead of 27 or higher.
Denver has a tough stretch coming up: @Houston vs Cleveland @Indiana vs New Orleans @Portland @Charlotte @Miami @New Orleans @Houston If we beat Denver at home in 5 games we assure ourselves of the tie breaker with them. So if we win that game, based on their schedule.....we should be ahead of them at that point. The question is who else might jump us.
Harden is surrounded by nothing but above average shooters, and they added Lou Williams, another guy that can create on his own while harden sits. Houston will be dangerous in the playoffs.
A chance ex-Blazer GM, (and Jlprks main man), Bob Whitsitt may be getting a look at for the Clippers position should Doc be relegated or move on. "Another possibility for the Clippers, Stein notes, is to request that Rivers give up his front office duties and concentrate on coaching. If that happens, the team may reach out to Bob Whitsitt, a former executive with the SuperSonics and Trail Blazers who has close ties to Clippers owner Steve Ballmer."
