I didn’t realize this until today but Kevin Pritchard and Rasheed Wallace played together for a year in Washington. Go figure…

I don't know and I'm extremely biased. So while I want to say that I agree, I don't know how great Dame would do with that supporting cast (Dray obviously being a key element) and that system. Dame might not be as good as Steph but it would be close or Dame could have blown away everything Steph has ever done. We just don't know because Dame's early years were spent with a good team in which LaMarcus was so seemingly insecure that he didn't work with Dame and then for the majority of his career for some reason everyone in this organization thought him and CJ were some kind of dynamic duo despite everything pointing to the fact that they were definitely not complementary pieces. Also he had Terry Stotts not really coaching him and never addressing any of the things impeding Dame's greatness.

So my heart says that Dame would be better than Steph with those players in that system because he's a better leader and I like his skill set and killer instinct more. My head says they'd be about the same. I know that neither my head or my heart can be trusted when it comes to Dame because I have a lot invested into him.

The Pelicans are knocking the socks off teams. Beating the Jazz right now pretty handily.

Snell is playing very well for them. I’m pissed they got Nance in that trade. I don’t think we will get their pick this season. 0/3 on trades.

I think the Pelicans will end up with the 9th spot in the West. They'll first have to beat whatever team is 10th (Lakers, Kings or Spurs) and then they'll have to beat the Clippers or possibly the Wolves. I don't think they will beat the Clippers or Wolves but it's possible.

I think it's really obvious what has to happen between now and then. The team has to be doing what they said they were at the last big presser and be actively finding and interviewing external candidates for the GM position or at least be putting feelers out there and vetting people. Our season will end before the play ins obviously. If the Pelicans make the playoffs the Vulcans should have their candidates lined up and Joe shouldn't be one of them. They should make a hire within a week or two so that new GM can start to put the wheels in motion to put their vision for our team into place.

I think if the Pelicans pick conveys then Joe probably gets to keep the position even though I think the first trade was a complete fuck up and the second trade is too contingent on getting lucky. That being said, we'll have two lottery picks, a 20M TPE and Hart. No that's not enough for CJ, Norm, RoCo and Larry but it's something we can build with.

Yeah, unless they stop playing anywhere close to this well, the Lakers get their shit together and one of the Kings or Spurs goes on a big run... it's pretty safe to say they'll be in the play ins. Now can they beat a healthy Lakers team? I don't know. Can they beat the Spurs or Kings if they're on the kind of run that it would take to get them in? Again, I don't know. The real question is can they beat the Clippers or Wolves in that second game and I lean towards the answer to that being no but I'm pretty fucking pissed that we even have to worry about this shit. Cronin made some stupid fucking trades.

I notice that they're playing CJ as their starting PG and they've pushed Graham to the bench. I think it was making that change that made them click, because they lost a few in a row immediately after acquiring CJ. But now their starting lineup is huge - I think Ingram is technically their shooting guard.

Nance has played as many games for them as Zion has. Nance is like Nas - great in theory.

Cronin traded CJ to a team that CJ wanted to go to. Did he get the best value for CJ? No. But he did CJ right by sending him where he wanted to go.

OMG....for a split second I thought Dame's water bottle was a knee brace and I panicked thinking he did something to his knee. Fuck me....my heart haha.

New Orleans really lucked out with Herb Jones. To think this kid was a 2nd rounder.
