I wish him the best, he did just fine for us.

A second rounder that turns into something is always a bonus. Crabbe got paid because he put in the work and BKN thought he was worth it when his contract was up.

Lucky for us we had a very good draft and now have new prospects to oogle over. Everyone's happy. It's not like he left us hanging like La-marshmellow.

He did leave us hanging. He signed an offer sheet to play for another team. Just because we stupidly matched it doesn't mean he didn't try to leave us.

That said, if I'm him, I'm signing that contract as soon as humanly possible.

    No, it isn't.

If preseason doesn't matter, then why are you on the boards during the preseason?

If the regular season doesn't matter, but it's the playoffs that are important, then, again, why are you on during the regular season?

If the 1st couple of rounds of the playoffs don't matter because it's really the finals that matters, then why not just wait until the finals?

Of course, in the even larger picture, a couple of dudes putting a ball in a poor imitation of a basket is kinda stupid, too.

Maybe just go back to debating John Deere vs. Kubota?

I don't think Crabbe wanted us to match, either, which I certainly don't blame him for.
Nor do I blame him for having an awesome agent to get such an offer sheet.

In fact, I don't blame him for anything, and wish him well. However, I do blame Roy, Wes, and LMA.

Crabbe and his agent were at least professional about it. I don't remember hearing a word from either. Nic let his agent run his mouth. That was on him.

Wes was insistent that he get paid big bucks AND made into a "first option" player on offense WHEN he was totally injured with an injury that few EVER recover from. Of course he wanted that to happen on a good team, so he declined Sac's offer.

Dallas paid him outrageous $$$, and it was one of the worst decisions they've made in recent history.

Insistent or did his agent gauge the market and find him the best deal? Insistent in being the first option or wanting to be more involved? That's not the way I remember it.

Gauging market? Maybe. Blazers did not offer him a contract, which annoyed him.... buy why would they?
He wanted to be a main cog in the offense, which was, and is laughable.
You don't remember it that way? Neither do literally 10s of 1000s of Wes Homer. He said something stupid, most tuned it out - I didn't.

What, ONE YEAR at a shitload, after several at the rookie minimum? Sure that's a lot of money, but not in NBA terms.

Oh really?? Let’s see who beats that mark this year

Bc I can tell you think that’s easy enough.. trust me we won’t have anybody that can replicate what Crabbe brought..

I wish him the best Bc Rip City treated him like shit

    No respect

Cavs got beat by Bulls tonight so I assumed they rested their stars. Nope they all played. Love shot 1 of 12 as starting center. Wade 1 of 7. I could see Cavs struggling big time during regular season. Like 44 to 48 wins because it's just hard for them to care after three straight Finals appearances.

I was listening to the Lakers/Jazz game, when Mark Jackson said something that kind of proved my theory that he does NBA games like they're video games.

You just put soundbites together about a player, and hope it sticks.

He actually said, about Rubio, that his playoff experience was a reason why the Jazz should be very happy with him.

    He's never sniffed the playoffs.

It's not the money that we've paid him, its the money that we have on the books for the next 6 year because we wanted to dump his contract.
