Covington is interesting if you think we need a change at the SF position. He has 1 year on his contract and they have Saric who is performing very well for them.

Covington's excellent--I don't see them letting him go.

    I see their lineup like:
    Fultz/McConnell/Bayless
    Redick/Luwawu/Korkmaz/Stauskas
    Simmons/Covington/Anderson
    Saric/Holmes/Johnson
    Embiid/Okafor

If anything, they need to clear out something from their glut of wings.

I agree on both player's not probably not being available. But we're talking about Philly. :emotions:

Covington is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, can't see Philly giving him up. What I'm hoping for is similar development from Harkless. No reason why he couldn't be a similar type player

You look at what Philly's done personnel-wise lately (although I think they would have been better off taking Fox at 3 than trading up for Fultz), I don't think they necessarily fit that paradigm anymore. Look at what is likely their core based on the roster I posted earlier:
    Fultz/McConnell
    Redick/Luwawu/Korkmaz
    Simmons/Covington
    Saric/Holmes
    Embiid/Okafor

That's really not a bad little roster, and if their pieces gel, it could be phenomenal sooner rather than later. I certainly wouldn't expect to fleece them any time soon.

Covington is not going anywhere. Saric is a PF, not a wing, and he's even slow for a PF. If anything, he's likely to be the one to move.

For some reason I was thinking he played SF. He can dribble and shoot like a SF. Right??

His game would fit nicely on our team.

Same problem as Okafor: wouldn't work playing him and Nurk together. Now we have Nurk we need more athletic plus defenders to surround him with. Collins is a good start.

Man Okafor LIT us up @ Philly 2 years ago I believe. Had like 20 on us in the first. Looked like Karl Malone out there!

Fultz worries me. He hasn't looked all that impressive and he seems a bit fragile. With him and Simmons they've taken back-to-back players from college teams that massively underperformed.

Okafor's destiny is to be the highest-paid player in the Chinese league.

You wouldn't be playing them together. You'd be playing Okafor when Nurk is on the bench.
