You invalidated your entire "nothing is certain" by saying something that is not factually certain.

Is Erin Hartigan 7'2? or is Ray Felton 4'11?

I was thinking the same thing. Conceptually, anyway.

They are getting trashed though. Probably my vote for most disappointing team.

B2B losses against the Hornets and Pistons.

And like Jordan, he's shit at threes - currently shooting 22.6%,

Also? The Mavs were up by 16 with 4 minutes left against OKC the other night and then Kidd brought Luka back and the Thunder went on a huge run to win the game.

I said before he was drafted that he was like a white Harden, and he's giving off Harden-in-Houston vibes (minus the three point shooting) - insane personal stats, but never going to make the finals.

It's unlikely to last, but I'm loving this trend where no-star teams like Utah and San Antonio are dominant, and LeBron, Harden, KD, Kawhi, and yes, Luka are 10-21.

Of course, having said that, the real league MVP is 5-0, and that's without his second best player.

I think San Antonio will likely fall off, but the Jazz could be legit to make a playoff/play in spot.

Edit: Mavs went 52-30 last year; I thought it was worse. 42-30 Covid season. 43-32 before that. They haven’t had a losing season in a while even if they aren’t top of the West. You’d expect them to rebound, but who knows.

    Mavs losses have been close.

He took his team to the Western Conference finals last year as a 23 year old with a cast of schlubs around him. His assists are a result of finding guys when he always gets doubled. His rebounding is a product of being 6’7” and having a wide body.

He’s much more well rounded than Harden and has a whole arsenal of different ways to score than Harden did/does.

I’m not a fan of his antics on the court but he’s the closest since Larry Bird there’s ever been in terms of style of play.

You nerds should be lucky that I’m sitting at Les Schwab on this glorious morning so I can teach you a few things about hoops.

He’ll blossom in San Antonio. One of the more elite shot blockers I watched at the college level. Had amazing footwork in college that hasn’t translated over to the NBA. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

I think he has the potential to be good. But yeah I’m partial toward him because he was a Zag.

Phoenix is nipping at our heels for the #1 overall seed in the West. Good thing we have that tie breaker in our pocket.
