Heh. I knew I wasn't the only one getting pleasure out of watching them fail.

Vindication of sorts to see them collapse like that.

I don't hate KD. I want to hate him, but it's hard. But... hehe

Looks like he'd given up down 3 with 40 seconds left. Trade him! To Portland! For Oden!!!!

I don't normally say "lol", but it would be a factual statement in this case!

Blazers have beaten the Mavs more times in this year's playoffs than all the other teams combined.

    This makes me so happy.

The fake humble crap Durant pulls is annoying. I'm glad he's feeling like shit right now.

Nope... just means Phil Jackson and Scotty Brooks are worse coaches.

That wasn't hard to predict. After any team loses, people tend to blame it on the coaches lack of offensive creativity, defensive soundness, or substitution pattern. Rarely is it because the other team had more talent or the players didn't execute.

Well Kevin Pelton is actually an analyst and stats guy, so he's not just offering up some emotional fan rant about Brooks performance in the series. Coaching doesn't always matter in the regular season, but in the playoffs it can make a huge difference.

Brooks is HORRID on offense. When his absolute best offensive plays are getting the ball to Durant 30 feet from the rim (which he struggled greatly to do prior to this series) you know how fucking terrible the guy is.

Too bad for the Thunder but its certainly a case of their youth vs. the Mavs' experience. Durant and Westbrook are 22, Harden and Ibaka are 21(!). Its pretty amazing how good they are with a core of guys who would still be juniors or seniors in college. Picture these guys a couple more years down the road and with a few more deep playoff runs in their back pockets.

To add to that, Perk is 26, Maynor is 23, Sefolosha is 27, they've got a couple of raw 22 y/o C's in Cole Aldrich and BJ Mullens who look like shit so far but could develop. Their biggest holes are 3 pt shooting and lack of role players who are scoring threats. Not the most difficult holes to fill in the NBA. It shouldn't be difficult to find a journeyman veteran or two to fill those holes on short term contracts. You guys know as well as anyone that nothing is guaranteed but they look pretty damn set to run the west in the future.

Didn't want to beat a dead horse but I say it every time you guys kick Durant/Thunder when they're down:

You're all just bitter because you used to be the young, lovable NBA darlings that got their dicks sucked by ESPN at every opportunity. You all act like it was all well deserved when it was you guys doing damage in the playoffs (though now that I think about it I'm not sure you ever got out of the first round) and getting TONS of props for it but now that everyone's left you for the younger, sexier woman that is the OKC Thunder you can do nothing but arbitrarily hate on them.

I'm a hater extraordinaire but there's not much to dislike about the Thunder IMO. Hell of a job by Presti and a hell of a core of legitimately likable players (excluding Perkins though I do respect his tenacity and defense).

If OKC ends up losing this series, how would this meltdown compare to our meltdown in Game 7 of the 2000 WCF? Seeing that they had a 15 point lead with 5 minutes left, this is probably worse.
