Apparently the Raptors are 60-18 when VanVleet starts and they’re winning now. They win another championship.

what genius designed this schedule? Why are two eastern teams starting their game at 9 eastern, while the game with LA and OKC in it started at 330 pacific?

Having a game featuring west coast teams going during prime eastern viewing hours and having eastern teams (with which they are all to familiar) going late (like a normal western conference game) enables viewers to look at the other teams and get a broader feel for the game.

That's my take and I'm sticking with it! :)

Someone remind me, why is it we’re supposed to be so afraid of the Lakers?

I watched OKC and this is the first time I saw CP3 not complain to the ref every single play. Looks like his having fun with the young guys.

The all-nba first team front court will be Giannis and two of the Lakers unless Lebron is classified as a guard and then he'll be an all-nba first team guard. So they have the second best player in the history of basketball on their team and he is aging quite well (with the exception of his balding). They have the second best versatile big in the game in Davis. They have 3 and D guys in KCP and Green. They have two really good rim protectors/clean up guys in Howard and McGee. They have bench scoring from Kuzma and Waiters. They have tough vets in Smith and Morris. Then they have Caruso, I'm not sure what that means but it means something. We can't judge them by how they're playing right now because of rust and the fact that their games don't mean anything since they've locked up the first seed in the West and there is no home court advantage.

Now we will likely face them in the first round and I do think they should be wary of us. Dame is a nightmare for them with Bradley and Rondo out, Dame is either going to draw a ton of attention and get a ton of assists, torch them for a ton of points or both. Nurk is also going to be a problem for them because as good as Howard and McGee (to some extent) have been in their careers, they're not going to be able to handle Nurk defensively or score a lot on him (they don't score that much anyway). I think Zach can check the Brow and limit his effectiveness but not stop him. LeBron will be a nightmare for us, like he has been for everyone for 16 seasons and an amazing 13 post-seasons (the guy has played in 239 playoff games which is fourth behind Derek Fisher, Tim Duncan and Robert Horry). We do look like we've turned a corner on our three point defense, so there's that. I mean, we are probably the second hardest match up in the West for the Lakers, the Clippers being their biggest threat. They should beat us but we have a chance at the upset, just ask Charles Barkley, Dan Patrick, Paul Pierce and a bunch of sports writers.

Ben Simmons out indefinitely with a knee injury - good news for our Sunday matchup with the Sixers.

Maybe this will cool off some of the trade for Simmons posts now?

Kings just dropped 49 points on the Pels in the first quarter. I honestly thought it was halftime.

i expected these injuries unfortunately. too much of a ramp up in effort too quickly, after such a long break.

Looks like Ben Simmons won't be available against us on Sunday. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing to be honest.
