    Wow Carmello has really slimmed down. He seems pretty serious with his off season training. I may be open to giving him a chance to prove himself on the Blazers ;)

    Oh, I agree. But NYK isn't going to take Anderson, so this would be the only way it would ever happen. And even then, it's not gonna happen!
    Literally the only thing HOU has that NYK would want is draft picks.

    The longer it goes, the more I think Embiid is never going to be ready to play top level basketball on a regular basis and will be viewed as an unrealised potential a few years down the line. He is an amazing talent and has actually already shown it at NBA level, he is a superb player with leadership skills but he has only ever played in 30 professional games.

    And as for Melo, Houston are basically shooting for the stars with that deal IMO. Their only hope here is that Melo wants to join them, they cannot offer Knicks much value, they cannot work it financially without dumping Anderson's deal or stripping themselves off of bench players who are way too important to just let them leave like that. They offered way too much in return for Paul who could have opted out and came for free, those assets could have well been used in a trade for Melo: Williams and Beverley are definitely two players NYK would fancy while Harrell and Dekker also had some value.

    They are looking for a fool to take Anderson and cannot even offer a pick to compensate for that montrosity of a deal.
