The odd thing is, I'm not stressed out that the Blazers aren't getting in on anything; I'm kind of resigned to the fact that we just need to wait this year out and then we will have a clearer picture of what to do. A lot of different things have happened, some just bad luck and some bad decisions, but here we are and I feel like just accepting it and hoping for the best. I feel like we have had enough changes in the last couple years. Instead of forcing decisions without enough facts, let's just wait until the picture is clearer. I understand we might lose a year because of that but it seems the best option. (Though I would feel better if we had a more adaptable, forward thinking coaching staff).
Howard Beck @HowardBeckNYT I'm told Tyson Chandler-Knicks deal is "not quite there yet" but likely to get done. Will be around 4 yr, $58 mil as Yahoo reported.
Whoohooo New York just offered Amare to NO for Paul. That means no paul in L.A.! This day is getting better and better! And imagine Chandler, Paul and Melo. Hell of a combo!
Does NO want Amare? If they are trying to find a buyer for the team, I don't think that would be the best move.
Well considering the offer was Pau Gasol for Paul, Amare is a better deal. Talent for Talent, Amare is better and has a better contract too.
For now but Howard is a long term fix. You had no depth after trading for Kareem either. How long did that last?
Yikes, Amare has 4 years and $82 million left on his contract. I can't see cash strapped NOH taking on that contract. BNM
Chris Mannix @ChrisMannixSI Just filed to SI.com: Lakers/Rockets/Hornets talks heating up, Boston pushing harder to get back in
Oh shit really?! Still I'm rooting for NO to accept. I don't want to see Lakers get either Howard or Paul.
Incarcerated Bob @incarceratedbob **BREAKING NBA NEWS**Source: Lakers have TRADED for CP3 (Deal Done Expect announcement before Monday) #AYOOO Shots fired #NBA #IBN
Could NO quickly trade Amare for pieces to rebuild? They might have better luck trading Amare because teams wont have to worry about him leaving after one season like they do with CP3.
Incarcerated Bob @incarceratedbob #IBNGoonSquad we just shut down Twitter! NBA **BLOCKBUSTER TRADE ALERT** LAKERS HAVE AGREED IN PRINCIPLE 2TRADE FOR CP3 (More parts moving)
Um, no he doesn't: Amare - 4 years and $82 million Gasol - 3 years and $57 million This assumes Amare exercises the player option at $23 million the final year of his current deal. He'd have to be an absolute fool not to. BNM
Incarcerated Bob @incarceratedbob @JCBizkit87 Lakers are still trying for D Howard (That is not over yet-Might just make the announcement with both at same time-Stay tuned)
YUCK I guess Paul is a Laker. That totally sucks cause I love Paul. Now I must despise him and wish the worst!
@sam_amick Sam Amick Former Portland big man Jeff Pendergraph is expected to sign a two-year, guaranteed deal in Indiana, according to a source.
