Denver's team scrimmage last night, Rudy "dazzled" with 20/10/3 http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/open_scrimmage_12_16_2011.html
To add onto in layman's terms: JG's condition was the aorta (the main blood distributor pathway) expanding in one spot so that the walls of the aorta are weakened with possible rupture (catastrophic obv). Lamarcus had a "bundle" of veins on the side of his heart that can rarely (<0.6%) mess with the electrical signals that control the beat of the heart and cause sudden death. If the bundle isn't there (removed via the procedure LMA had) then there are no complications beyond them coming back (hence the screenings).
That is a horrible picture! Kaman looks like he has literally been beating himself up over this.I will draft eric Gordon now though for my fantasy team, he will have huge numbers this year!
That was predictable. Remember his first fan fest with the Blazers? The question is, will Denver throw enough money at him to stop him going back to Real Madrid?
The Sacramento Kings have claimed ex-Net Travis Outlaw with a bid off amnesty waivers, league sources tell Y! Sports.
I don't get what they think they're doing. Don't they have a very similar guy in Donte Green? But good for Travis...I guess.
They look like they're having mug shots taken and they're holding up the little numbers. I was going to prove you wrong, but the video of Travis and Blake's introductory press conference with the Clippers seems to have vanished from the internets.
Brandon Roy has gone unclaimed in the amnesty waiver process, league sources say. He's a free agent, but won't play elsewhere. He's retired.
For one thing Green didn't have a heart condition, he had a weakening of the wall of his aorta ... meaning that if/when it eventually ruptured, he'd bleed to death in a matter of seconds. LA's condition is an electrical issue with his heart, meaning he can have an erratic heart-beat (tachycardia) but his condition almost never life threatening and is easily treatable.
ESPN At halftime, @KevinLove has already ordered a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds). New year, same beast
I'm watching the Milwaukee-Minny game on some Spanish feed, and they go apeshit every time Rubio does something. They also can't stop talking about a Kevin Love for Pau Gasol rumor. That actually makes sense! The Lakers get a lot younger and the Wolves get legit (and are instantly the fave team in Spain). Love has all his points from three pointers. He's like Laimbeer without the defense or mean streak. He has approximately zero low post game. (Incidentally HCP, you'd love this game. It's 90% honkies.) Minny is raining threes, and it's all their "big" men - Love, Williams and Tolliver. Darko will be joining in soon. Good to see Shaun Livingstone looking healthy and spry, but the Bucks are pretty sad otherwise. Brandon Jennings looks like he's regressed.
