On the Albanian media they keep saying its around 10 million Euros. Not sure if that's what Marseille is asking though.
Nevermind... I hate this site, but it stirs up some chat. Arsenal to Make £12m Bid for Kolo Toure Replacement Also, rumors of a 30m+ bid for Benzema, an 11m bid for Cana, and a Bendtner swap plus cash for Ribery. Sounds retarded to me.
Bendtner plus cash for Ribery is never going to happen, that's bollocks. Benzema also isn't going to happen, if anything his agent is leveraging us against Madrid/ManU just to get his price higher. French connection or not it isn't the type of move you'd expect after breaking the bank for AA just a few months ago. Cana is sensible but something tells me we aren't getting a name brand CDM, but rather someone unsung who will be less effective but much cheaper. Ditto for Kolo who really has no reason to switch clubs.
Or maybe we'll hit the jackpot and get an unsung CMD who's also sensational. Wenger has done it before, so why not again? Also, Walcott's current form has been really worrying me. He played dreadful for the England U21's and couldn't finish any goal-scoring oppurtunity. Hopefully his thigh and shoulder injuries haven't caught up with him--Can he sort himself out for the next season? Here's a scary rumor: It's from The Sun, so it probably isn't all truth but it's still scary to think about. Finally, reports of Melo signing a one-year extension with Fiorentina.
Gunners target Lorik Cana English giants Arsenal are hoping to land the services of Marseille's captain Lorik Cana. The Gunners have missed the boat to bolster their midfield with Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo extending his contract with Fiorentina. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will look to Cana to be their new midfield enforcer in the mould of Patrick Vieira. Speaking to The Daily Express, Cana seems ready for a possible transfer:"The door remains open for a departure, even with three years remaining on my contract. "I will talk with my family and my representatives. It will then depend on what I want to do. "Of the possible destinations in the future, England and Germany are the two leagues that attract me the most," added the 25-year-old. Other clubs that have been linked with the Albanian ace are Tottenham Hotspur and Hamburg, with the German side the only one to have cast an official bid, offering €5 million. Cana has made 121 appearances and scored six goals for Marseille since he joined the side in 2005.
I'm 90% sure we're going to get him--I just have that feeling. - Arsenal have ditched their pursuit of Felipe Melo and are going head-to-head with Tottenham for Lorik Cana. - Aston Villa are interested in signing Phillipe Senderos. - Since Barca's bids for Ribery have been snubbed, their focus has moved to singing Cesc Fabregas. - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that the chance to develop the young players at the Gunners convinced him to stay at the Emirates rather than join big-spending Real Madrid.
Guys, I have a really exciting piece of information--Even though its pasted across the BBC site. Fiorentina say that if we trade Eboue plus some cash we can get Felipe Melo which could be a fantastic move. I'm really hoping this goes through. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/8134615.stm
Yeah, it would be great. Another really weird rumor: - AC Milan will give us £20m + Mathieu Flamini for Adebayor. WTF?
- Adebayor has drawn interest from AC Milan and Manchester City, but City has emerged as the leader to sign him - Adebayor's offer from City is 125,000 a week with a 25-million transfer fee, but City is reportedly willing to go higher (The Sun reported his salary could near 175,000 per week but that sounds totally outrageous) - Marouane Chamakh (Bordeaux) would love to come to Emeriates as a replacement for Adebayor, if wanted - Tottenham wants to sign Patrick Viera (Inter Milan) in order to piss Gunners fans off beyond belief - Wenger is interested in teenaged winger Frank Nouble who recently rejected a pro offer from Chelsea - Lorik Cana (Marseille) likely to sign with Everton, not Arsenal
I'm starting to fear his departure! This guy is completely overrated. I saw a couple of his videos on YouTube and he definitely did not impress. Hopefully it was just a bad couple of montages. He is definitely not an adequate replacement for Adebayor if he leaves. I think we should have a look at Huntelaar. This would make Spurs fans rage just as much. No comment. Are you fucking kidding me?
As much as I like to roll my eyes at Wenger signing 16- and 17-year olds, he did get Fabregas from Barcelona as a 15-year old when they basically had lost interest in him.
Yeah, but Chamakh is 25 and is still a piece of shit. Compare van Persie and Chamakh? Isn't there a huge fucking void between the two? I don't really mind if we sign youngsters because we usually get them on a free or we'll by no more than 5m and we'll be set for the future. I want Wenger to make a 15m+ transfer which will actually get us excited about the upcoming season and get the fans behind the club again. Liverpool did it with Torres and he has made Liverpool so much more threatening up-front. By the way, I'm not raging at you. Just football in general.
