- Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood says Arsenal have yet to receive an official approach from Barcelona for midfielder Cesc Fabregas and says the club do not want to lose the Spain international.
- Arsenal are poised to make a £16m raid for Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia.
- The Gunners are also lining up Everton's Mikel Arteta as a replacement for Cesc Fabregas in the event that he joins Barcelona.
- Fabregas could be unveiled as a Barcelona player on 4 June or 9 June.

- Cesc Fabregas will be paid half his annual salary before he has even kicked a ball for Barcelona should the 23-year-old complete his move from Arsenal. The midfielder, who is expected to earn about £160,000-a-week, will immediately be paid £4.16m.
- Barcelona are preparing to make their first official approach to Arsenal to sign midfielder and captain Cesc Fabregas by faxing through an offer in the region of £30 million on Monday, according to Goal.com UK.

- The agent of Palermo defender Simon Kjaer says his client is set to leave the Italian club with the Premier League his preferred destination. The 21-year-old defender has attracted the interests of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.
- Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas wants his requested transfer to Barcelona to be agreed as soon as possible but is expecting the negotiations to be arduous, according to the Spaniard's father. "I don't know how this is going to pan out but I believe you have to respect the decision and the wishes of the player," Francesc Fabregas said on Spanish radio.
- Arsenal have slapped an £80m price tag on captain and midfielder Cesc Fabregas, which is more than double what Spanish giants Barcelona were hoping to pay for the Spanish international.

- Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer expects to remain at Fulham despite speculation linking him with Arsenal. "I've got another year left on my contract and I see my future at the moment with Fulham," the Australia stopper told ABC Sport. "I don't see anything changing unless someone tells me otherwise."
