After all the bashing Odom for not playing up to his potential and not complementing Kobe enough, Odom is suddenly a good player...Ron Artest caliber....hypocrites..</div>

He gets you some points and rebounds, with a couple of assists. not the best FG/3G%, but hey I have seen worse.

The thing about Odom is....well, he can only shine in a few things, and really stink at the rest. Like simple basketball fundamentals. How you move around without the ball is based on how you like to score your points. If your a 3 point threat, hang around the line and try to find a good shot. If you are a great post up player, stand within 10-15 feet of the basket, and try to get the post. If you can slash in (I think Odom gets about 30% of his points doing this) call for the ball and find four way to the basket.

The problem with Odom is he is only an okay 3 point shooter, an okay slasher, an okay jump shooter, and an okay post up player. He has the potential and perfect body size to be a severe threat in all of those categories. Instead it seems like he is developing each one sloooowly. He can rebound the ball well, but can't play good D.

Unless Lamar Odom can build his game up to the point where he would have no problem posting on Artest, or slashing at Duncan, he will never be an all star player.

He is what he is. And that is great trade bait...(don't forget about his salary, whats he making now $12 million? Ray Allen's only $13 million.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting igotask8board:</div><div class="quote_post">True. LOL I still can't believe that trade.

The Rockets are talking about big trades and I know this would never happen, but nothinhgs impossible:

    Rockets sends:
    Mcgrady
    Swift

    Indiana sends:
    Artest
    O' Neal

I think the salaries match up well, and it looks like it might benefit both teams. Not that I want to see McGrady leave, but I like the idea of Yao, Swift, and Artest in the front court. Indiana gives up rebounding and in return gets a great scorer. Rockets will finally have a strong rebounder and shot blocker to help out Yao, and will greatly improve in defense.

Don't see it happening, but its one of those trades that might really improve both teams. I think the Rockets would improve a lot, while Indiana would be more of a shooting team</div>
I normally agree with you........but I couldn't trade Mcgrady for anybody outside of Duncan, KG, or Kobe. That's just the way it is. What would be interesting is if the Rockets traded:
    Stromile, DA, Head, Alston
    for
    Artest, Tinsley, and Croshere.

That would work to me, but I don't know if Indiana is stupid enough to accept that one lol.

I know what you mean man. I'm just saying that all of a sudden, Lamar Odom is a Ron Artest caliber player....an allstar. I thought the Lakers fans hated Odom. Now they think he is somewhat a good player...trying to trade for an All Star.

To be honest I wouldn't make that trade of Swift, McGrady for Artest, JO. It would make our team better, but T-Mac is the kind of guy you want to keep around.
