Id bet his agent told him that. Sit out the rest of the season with the shoulder injury so you dont hurt your value. Affalo came back and played on basically one shoulder for the few playoff games he played.
Id take him back at 3y 22m but with how bad the SG market is he will get a 4/40m from someone.

I'll take Lopez over Jordan seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

One season like three years ago, he shot 40.6%. He's a career 34.2% 3 point shooter.

He's the very definition of a high effort, low results player. T-Rob, JJ Hickson, they all look really busy out there, but it amounts to not a lot.

OK, he sucks. I hate the guy, and I'm sorry I ever mentioned his name. And LeBronze better quit saying that Shumpert ". . . will be on the all-defensive team in this league really soon." WTF does he know, anyhow . . .

Play a position of need for many teams and has shown an ability to be a starting caliber shooting guard? The fact that Wes was projected to get 14-15 million a year is a pretty good indication that Afflalo could get 9-10 easily. I love Wes, but he's not a star. He's a really good starter. Do you think he's worth max money?

No, I don't think Wes is worth max money.

It doesn't matter what I think though. The market will decide.

    Right.

He wouldn't have opted out if that's what he was going to do.

Only a team over the cap would want him, but who's going to give up anything more than a 2nd rounder for a S&T Afflalo?

There aren't really any. Just accept that we used a 1st rounder to gamble on half a season of Afflalo - and it didn't work out.

No, I don't think Wes is worth the max...particularly since the history of recovery from that type of injury isn't promising.

What is Danny Green going to make? I would take him over AA in a heartbeat.

He'd be a great back up on a higher seeded playoff team.

Why couldn't afflalo desire a longer term deal for security purposes? When he was traded here didn't he say he was ok being a super bench player? We could offer him something like 4 years 26 million or so, so that he knows he has a guaranteed amount over four years, and can accept a bench role on a good team.

To be honest, if Wes gets a massive deal, I could see afflalo ending up as the starter here with Cj being the super sub

Maybe he felt his value is still highish right now, and might have gone down next year if. He was a bench player again for us.

Well, I was really saying he was rumored to be worth max money BEFORE the injury. At this juncture I have no clue what he's worth. But either way, his value before the injury was a testament to how few starting shooting guards there are right now.
