Ok guys, the answers are in. I got interview Jameer Nelson and Pat Garrity before the game and I hope I got some of your questions answered. Thanks for partcipating and keep your eyes open for other Ask The Players threads in the future. - What has Coach Hill done to improve this team? Pat Garrity- “I think most importantly he has stressed the importance of playing good defense and secondly I think his practices demand a lot of attention and a lot of detail and that has helped us come a long way and cleaning some things up.” Jameer Nelson- “He definitely increased the level of defensive intensity.” - Have any players actually talked to Fran Vazquez? Jameer Nelson- "Nah, not to my knowledge." - What do you think about the trade rumors flowing around Steve Francis? Do you think they are true? Also what would trading Steve Francis do to the chemistry of the team? Pat Garrity- “I haven’t really heard of any so it’s hard for me to comment on that.” Jameer Nelson- “Well your always going to hear rumors in the NBA because if Shaq can get traded, anybody can get traded so you have to focus on basketball and honestly I never even heard any trade rumors. Well anytime you lose a player like Steve Francis it’s a devastating blow to any team. He’s such a great talent that you would love to have him on your team. - Who does Dwight Howard remind you of in comparison to current and past players? Jameer Nelson- “Dwight is almost like a more powerful Tim Duncan. He’s gonna go out there and get rebounds, he’s not going to shoot as many jumpshots as Tim Duncan but he’s gonna bang and play good defense.” - What would you consider a successful season this year? Pat Garrity- “Well I think we all set our minds on the playoffs since its somewhere we haven’t been in the last couple of years so getting there would be one step but when you get there you have to set new goals and obviously advancing would be one of them.” - If you could choose one player from any NBA team to join the Magic, who would it be and why? Pat Garrity- “Hmm, it’s an interesting question but I like our teammates that we have here so I’ll stick with these guys around me. That’s what got TO in trouble (laughs).” Jameer Nelson- “Shaq, I mean why not, he’s the most dominant player to ever play the game.”
